My apologies, I missed it.

“The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.” Proverbs 10:22

Hi my sisters, a few weeks ago, I changed the name of our devotional ministry from Daughters of the King Daily Devotionals to Messages from God’s Heart for reasons I cannot share. However, a few weeks into this new name, and I felt sorrowful because I love Daughters of the King and everything this sisterhood represents. I would look at our DOTK devotional book and tear up. So while talking with my husband, he encouraged me to change the name back. So, that’s what we’re doing.

There is much wisdom that can be gained from this experience:

1. With God’s instructions, He always gives you joy and peace, even if it’s a difficult decision. If you feel sorrowful about it, go and pray again to make sure you heard right.

2. When God gives you a purpose and vision, nothing and no one can alter it. It’s like a tailor-made suit just for you and you won’t be comfortable wearing anything else.

3. Don’t make any sudden moves. Take what you believe God is wanting you to do and sit with it for a while so you can make a sound decision.

4. It’s ok if you miss it. We all make mistakes. The important thing is to hurry and get back on course.

I know the moment I mentioned the new name, some of you prayer warriors started to pray for me right away. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers. You all are amazing! I love you, and I pray His richest blessings over you and your families as you enter the New Year!

All my heart,

Kesha Trippett

      1. The Lord is so good. When I heard of the name change, I began to pray. DOTK, can’t begin to explain what those words mean to me, Loved, Strong, Powerful Anointed, Special, Beautiful, Mighty in battle, Being embrace by the Highest… You can go on and on. Your messages through the power of the Spirit of God was unheard of because it was from the Throne room of God.
Thank you for hearing. Thank you for repentance and turning your direction back as you heard His voice. That’s something not easy to do, being that many people hear your Devotion ( or should I say God’s Devotion)…
        Love you sister❣️

    1. I am sooooo
Happy you changed the name back!! Whenever l would get a devotional that was titled a message from God Heart they would speak ti about the identical issue l was experiencing THAT DAY and anytime l missed a devotional, I would look for what was on God’s heart messages first. There is a Special Bond with Daily Remembering that I am the Kings Daughter and a different kind of Bond with those Messages from God Heart that Speak to in Specific Circumstances and l had lost that until now. Thank you for changing it back! Bless you.

    1. My long lost friend Dora started sending the daughters of the King devotionals dailt months ago and it has impacted my life with blessings and direction to serve God. I’ve missed the last couple days and was wondering if something was wrong. Thank you for your obedience to pray again until God spoke. Amen and Gods blessing to you too.

  3. I am so excited we’re going back to DOTK. It was the name Daughters of the King that attracted me to this ministry and devotional. I pray blessings beyond your wildest imagination for you, your family and ministry. Greater things are coming! We will be in awe of God!!!🙌

  4. Listen reading this brought so much comfort and confirmation. Sometimes people will speak things and you are quick to act because you hold the relationship dear. I thank God for your transparency because we seek the Most High, and it’s okay to go back and revisit that thing. Because clearly we may miss it! Amen thank you

  5. Thank you so much for the explanation and for being obedient and I as well, LOVE LOVE the name Daughters of the King. Each day, God allows us to grow and I so intend th apply what I have learned from you sharing this in my life. BLESSINGS and JOY…

  6. 7. I love and appreciate this share! Your experience is an important example, as is your connection with God! Thank you for being you!

    Much love,
    Denise

  8. I am so encouraged by this. I was a little thrown off by the name and color change BUT I stuck in there because whatever came from you I needed. I’ve been struggling with clarity on a few things too! I’ve been wondering if I heard wrong too. This gave me ssd’s o much peace. If I did hear wrong or respond incorrectly to what I heard, it’s okay. God will work it all out and this is confirmation of that. God bless and keep you!

  9. Love DoK!!! No matter what the name is, your messages uplift me and my friends. We text all the time ” Read DoK today!!!”

  10. Yes Praying that God keep it real clear for u to see the name DOTK is unique and from what i have learned your husband has SOTK and those two are connected ties together the new name would have been a distraction dont fix fix what is not broken ! When God gives us a vision im learning it will not be follwed through the same way He gave it to us by another He gave u DOTK cause He knew u would treat it like your infant baby who needs so much love and care and Encouragement and thats what u birthed out with your ministry God Bless U

  11. This is great Kesha, and not just because it’s going back to DOTK but because you were true to yourself and shared your real life. Goes to show just how genuine and honest you are. You truly are a blessing no matter what title you put out there. Love God’s work through you and love you for all you do and share with us! Blessings, Jacqueline

  12. GIIIRRRLLL! 1st off the bat – you could have changed the title simply to ‘Devotionals’ and I would have been right there with you. A name is a name and you never should have to apologize or explain what you do with the vision God gave to you.
I see your heart through your writings and that is what makes your ministry special. And although you flow from a heart of compassion protect that and your peace at all costs. Yes the name Daughters of the King is great but we as God’s precious princess also need to rise up and do the work and walk in our relationship ourself. We can not just let the words from this devotional be our all and everything. A change in wording, color, title, font, or beak should not move us. God is bigger than that and the same God who works through you lives in us.
So Daughters of the King, I speak to you now. We need to know who and whose we are and all that it entails. Sister Kesha is just a smallnpart of our spiritual journey.. Just as she seeks Him we all need to do the same. We should strive to be immovable and steadfast and changes shouldn’t throw us off or in to a tizzy.
Let’s continue to lift up our sisters as she encourages us in the Lord each day and go before the Lord to receive from Him independently because this ministry should be just a small part of our daily walk and relationship with Him.
We love you sister Kesha and I am so thankful for the man of God the Lord has paired you with to be there as a support for you and to help you and guide you and affirm you as you pour in to others.
Lord protect them, unify them as a couple as they do your work together, In Jesus name Amen!

    1. I agree with every word Kim. And I will continue to lift you up in Prayer Kesha. God is truly working through you to be meat for the master’s use. May God continue to elevate you and this ministry. It has blessed my soul through some of the toughest of times. It is the highlight of my mornings. I Thank God for you. ❤Continued Blessings

      1. Kim, I couldn’t have said it any plainer or more perfectly! Kesha, I don’t care what it is called, the color, size, font, etc…. I was here through it all and I appreciated what Gid had you bring us! Thank you! I know you get tired, frustrated and beat down, just know that you to have sisters to fight for you and carry your mat!

  13. So many of us have not had the best relationships with our earthly fathers. (Those who have had great relationships with our earthly fathers are also moved by the title DOTK.) A daily reminder that we are “Daughters of the King” brings a joy, peace, assurance, and confidence that is comforting infinitely beyond what these few words can express. Because I am His daughter, He leads, loves, guides, protects, heals, provides for me! It’s personal. It’s just for me, His daughter!. Thank you!

  14. Thank you Woman Of God this devotional have really blessed my hearted and although I have my own prayer life and my own relationship with the Lord . We need that push some time thank you for DOTK.i to have a woman Ministry called Woman With A Divine Purposes .

  15. I am so happy you changed it back to DOTK, too! My heart was truly sad the name had changed and I praised God when I read you changed it back. Thank you for seeking, listening and following the Holy Spirit’s leading…. and for your example! I don’t know you, but I appreciate your honesty and transparency. It says so much abut your character.💕🥰 Big HUGS!!

  16. I’m really glad you made the decision to change it back. Either way the messages are received and shared. ❤🙏

  17. Thank you Jehovah- Jireh for this ministry. Blessings to the laborer and the recipients. We praise you for victory, healing, & love for us. – IJN, Amen

  18. “D” All the above.
And so grateful for your partner husband who supports and encourages you. What a lesson and blessing for all of us. This experience, your experience, has become our experience to learn from. Thank God He has you doing it, not me.🥺

  19. Thank you Sis. Kesha for sharing and showing your humility.

I have to agree I love the name DOTK but its the heart of God that leads you daily. I would stay connected and still look forward to reading the daily post no matter the name of the devotional. Man looks at the outward appearance but God know the heart.

Thank You, Lord for allowing Sis. Kesha to be transparent in her walk with You. It helps Your daughters to understand those who’s heart You captured. You whom have begun a good work in us/me will complete it. Thank You.

    Blessings, Shalom and Agape

  20. I am so glad the name didn’t change. I was so disappointed when I read that because it just didn’t feel right! The name DOTK is what drew me in the first place. So I am extremely happy that you went back to the original name. Stay prayerful and do what God called YOU to do. This ministry is a BLESSING!!!!

  21. That God!!!
I love DOTK , such an inspirational name . I often
remind friends when they are going through , Remember, you are a Daughter of The King .
    Nothing wrong with a
    Turn around 🙏🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾👏🏾👏🏾

  22. Either way, it didn’t matter.
Both titles play a significant part in my life.
DOTK, …. Does remind me of who I really am, and
Messages From Gods Heart, …. Made me feel the intimacy that Him and I share.
None the less, As long as you continue to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit … You Can’t Go Wrong.
    God Bless You Sister Kesha❣️

  23. I love DOTK, the name reminds me of you I belong to! Also thank you for being transparent, that alone is encouragement. Continue to walk with God and keep your ears to His mouth and Obey Him at all cost!!
    God bless You ❤️

  24. Wohouu so thankful and happyyy DOTK is back!!!
Really really missed your daily devotionals as it used to be.

God bless your ministry and you richly Keisha. You’re doing a heavenly work and the devil is surely not happy.

Thank you for your humility and prompt to His voice 😊

  25. Woman, you are amazing! I was sad too, but supported your decision. I knew it was in God’s hands, and that you were doing what you felt God led you to do. No regrets! While I am glad it’s back, I love how you’ve handled both transitions. You’re amazing! May God continue to bless you and your family! *Hugs*

  26. What a great news! You made my day!!! I love Daughters Of The King. God uses this devotional to speak to me all the time. God bless you Keisha. I look forward to this devotional every day. Through this devotional God healed me from bulimia. Thank you for sharing those wonderful lessons, as well. Love you sister.

  27. So glad you changed the name back to DotK! Praise Jesus! I too felt a sense of sadness when I looked at the new name and format. Also, and I know this is crazy, but I didnt feel the same after reading the devotional, as I did after reading Do tK. DotK has been so inspiring.and.always fills my spirit!. Again, thank you so much for changing it back to DotK, .amd.for having the courage to do so. God Bless you always!

  28. I can’t explain what a blessing this is that you shared this experience with us! We have a ladies group in Pembroke, NC that follows & shares this devotional faithfully! Keep following Gods leading! Obedience is better than sacrifice… May God continue to bless your ministry!!

  29. I will most definitely keep this testimony in my notes ! God bless you Kesha! Thank God for your obedience and trust in him.❤ I needed to see this.

  30. Even when you change the name in my heart ❤ it was always DOTK devotionals I was reading but I am glad you change the name back because we are all daughter’s of the King the name just fits. Thanks for your obedience to God Amen 🙏🙏🙏.

  31. Either way this devotion is led by God. Thank you for your obedience and leadership. I am with you 💯 sister. You are doing just fine and I love you.

  32. Praise the Lord! DOK was the name I couldn’t change it in my mind and heart, His encouragement through you means so much to me and has gotten me through many tough days. Thank you for being sinsitive to the Holy Spirit and a blessing in my life.

  33. Thank you. I was missing the Daughter’s of the King devotionals. I was not connecting with the other new changed Devotional. I thank God for guiding you

  34. I’m glad you went back to DOTK. I’ve been reading your posts for several years and there’s just something comforting about the purple theme and crown. Truly royalty. Thank you for your transparency and all of your work in God’s kingdom!

  35. Good Morning!
First let me say “Thank you for ‘missing it’. We all do. But not all of us will confess it let alone acknowledge the fact that we did. So, it was refreshing and even encouraging to know it’s okay when we do.

I was a little discouraged when you changed the name but I thought it was because I by nature struggle with change. So when I opened the devotional and seen you and your husband agreed to change back to DOTK, I was pleasantly suprised. Thank you. And thank you for sharing your heart and the Father’s heart.

    Blessings
    Jackie

  36. It saddens me that someone would even falsely accuse someone in a devotional based on God Jesus and God’s kingdom. If it was to be changed from Daughters Of The King to a Message from God‘s Heart that should not have been a problem. So for me I feel that there are some people who are dealing with some hidden evil issues in their heart, don’t let the snake catch you up. There was nothing wrong with the name being changed it was actually soothing to know that it would be A Message from God‘s Heart so to sister Kiesha Triplet I am so sorry that you had to endure whatever evil false accusations you endured behind the name change but God let the glory be to God that he will vindicate you in this whole situation in Jesus name hallelujah amen

  37. I’ve been with DOTK from the beginning or close to. I have no personal connections but we as women need to get it together in the kingdom of God. Strife over a name change that still honored God. May He continue to be merciful on all souls that ran like the enemy on this. And I say this not in anger but in disappointment for those who found the name change a reason to kick dust in God’s face.

  38. Hi Kesha,
I am glad that you changed back the name to DOK.
I just was not feeling the new name. I am also glad for your openness and humility in sharing the reason.
May the Lord allow you to reach women whom you have never reached before and their hearts be ministered to like never before.
    Your devotional is a blessing.

  39. Thank you for being the role model of being corrected and receiving the correction in love through the Holy Spirit 😊

  40. Sister Kesha, I am so glad you changed it back. Thank you for your honesty and openness. There are lessons in all things. Thank you for being the blessing that you are.❤️✝️

  41. Beautiful lady and sister in Christ I’m so thankful either way my heart loves your ministry because I know Jesus is the heart of it I love Dotk and so the very words you bless us with I send them back Be Blessed my sister! Be blessed! I love you

    Love
    Gina (NKY)

  42. Thank you for sharing . I just was talking to a young lady yesterday about missing the mark, and how having the spirit of discernment. I took a job because I wanted to go back to work so bad, and within a day or two God showed me that it wasn’t what His plan was for me. And as the days went by things just kept being revealed that this was not where I needed to be! And then I got that call. The job that I had applied for where I know the company’s history and I worked for before , interviewed me. I received my offer letter and more pay than what I asked for. Then comes the guilt , I was just hired and now I am resigning, but God keep revealing to me the reasons why I was not where I was suppose to be. I did resign and will be starting my new position. Please keep me in your prayers , as we know that Satan will find any way he can to destroy what God has planned for us.

  43. Thank you so much for allowing God you use you and your gifts. Your words have truly been a tremendous blessing to me. They have helped me to endure and be still. May God continue to bless you and your family Abundantly. Happy New year to you and your family.

  44. The beauty in how the new format was when temporarily changed…..was that I could send to husband without taking out the “female” term and he in turn could send it to the men who he mentors.
No matter what the title is, Gods Word, Holy Spirit inspired through you, minister’s, convicts, corrects. Builds, restores, encourages, teaches, claims, and is a beautiful thing! For ALL to be blessed by.

Thank you for your obedience in delivering His Word and prophetic words.

  45. Good Morning,
    Sis Kesha, DOTK,

I have always received all devotionals as they were from the Heart of God. It wasn’t the DOTK title or any title, it was because you prayed, listened and heard from God before sharing His word with us. I thank God for you being His vessel to speak through DOTK Devotionals. Thank you, with Love 💖

  46. Good morning my dear sister, I am sooooooo grateful and thankful that you’ve reverted to Daughters of the King! Somehow the new name just wasn’t registering! I didn’t like the gold color either. Somehow, it just felt off, like we were somehow leaving something extremely important behind! My sister, I KNOW our God is real! I was ecstatic when I saw that majestic-looking purple emblem. Oh, God bless you, your family AND your ministry my love! It’s quite alright that you “missed it”, I believe it was God doing one of His greatest works in you! There’s a lesson here to be learnt and that is, that it’s okay, to change, review and then revert. As long as you “get” the message or learn the lesson, you’ll end up right back on track! Thank you for your honesty and humility, our God will truly reward you for it. The Almighty’s richest and choicest blessings always.

  47. Thank u for your continued obedience to the Lord and sharing a beautiful part of yourself with us. The devotional means everything to me.
    Your Sister in Christ,

    Kim Lee

  48. I Love Daughters of The King. Thank you so much for your obeidence. May God continue to bless you with new and fresh manna for His daughters each and every morning. God Bless You My Sister❤❤❤

  49. How refreshing to experience such honesty & transparency……this is real life……life is messy & doesn’t always make sense! However, I don’t believe it was a ‘mistake’ as it’s spoken volumes to me. Bless you & Thankyou‼️🥰 xo

  50. Thank you for turning this into a teaching moment. I am so impacted by this – I too can go back and make it right when I missed it.
Thank you for being a transformational leader!

  51. Hey, I wanted to say that a few years ago I downloaded the devotional onto a tablet. The tablet went missing. God put in my heart that I am the daughter of a king, him! I married a man who I was dating, thinking it was right. I have suffered over the choice. He is like a clam, holding onto his greatest possession, which is in dark silence. He hasn’t learned to love me by truth and it has been painful for me! Anyway when I found the tablet I opened and began the devotional and it is ministering to my deep brokenness! I’m glad you heard from
Him…and that your husband loves you! God Bless
