My Body is Changing

“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” Proverbs 4:7

Mood swings. Constantly second guessing myself. Crying about the silliest thing, while the smallest thing irritates me. What is wrong with me? It must be the devil attacking me, so I find myself rebuking him and crying out to God to deliver me. Then I soon realize my problem is not spiritual. It’s natural. I begin to recall, well I did have a baby months ago. And yes, my sleep has been off lately. No wonder I feel so unlike myself.

For any woman who is going through physical changes that we all experience as women—whether it be menopause, menstrual cycles, pregnancy, hormonal imbalances, etc—I encourage you to become more knowledgeable about your body so that you don’t think something’s wrong with your spiritual walk with the LORD. The right information will give you peace of mind. A correct understanding will help you so that you don’t walk away from everything and everyone you love just because of how you feel. You are a daughter of the King, and He loves you even on your worst day.

Begin to educate yourself. The more you know about your body, the more you will be able to better handle the changes of life.

Prayer: Thank you, Father God, for helping me see that I’m ok. My body is changing, but I’m thankful you always remain the same. Help me to learn about my body and the different changes it is going through. Help me not trust in my emotions, but put my trust in you. Wrap your arms around me, LORD, when I feel off balanced. Reveal to me what my body needs. Show me how to go through these woman changes with your wisdom and grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  1. Good morning my sisters!!,

Awesome reminder of who we are as women, and God loves us just the same. I was here a few years ago, thinking just as Kesha mentioned, it was the enemy, for me It was menopause. I did just like she said and educated myself, got the supplements I needed, and I am 💯 better!

If I may add, love yourself through what ever your body is going through, it’s going to be okay!!
We have an awesome Father and He is right there with you!!

    Blessings!!
    Debra

  2. As women it is important we take care of our health so we may accomplish the work of the Lord while displaying the fruits of the spirit.
I recently started paying close attention to what my body is going through at 47 and can honestly say the Holy Spirit directs what is physically needed. When I look up the symptoms and natural cures I realize it has only confirmed what the Holy Spirit has already said.
I advise anyone to get as close to a natural diet as possible. Allow your body to heal and regenerate itself through a alkaline diet. I am a living proof it works. When we are physically, spiritually and mentally balance we are equipped to handle God’s calling and the challenges of life

    1. Lorna,

All I can say is wow! I am also 47 and have always been into a more health conscious lifestyle. However, 2 years ago I discovered an alkaline diet and I have been so excited to share the knowledge with family and friends. I am so much more in tune with my body and environment.

  3. Amen..Amen..Amen!!!!!!!!!!
Thank You Lord For giving me the Wisdom, Knowledge & Understanding of the Changes In My Body!! THANK YOU LORD..I WASN’T/DIDN’T LOSE MY MIND!
This is sooo true & important!!
As Women our bodies are AMAZING!! The changes it goes through, naturally & sometimes medically. I went through menopause early “surgically” due to other female complications. I HAD to learn my “triggers” that would make me feel like someone was running a burning hot “blowtorch” across my body!! I don’t call them “hotflashes” I learned to make light of this madness & say “REAL WOMEN HAVE SURGES NOT HOT FLASHES😄!! Whewwww they are something serious!! My triggers are..Chocolate, Coca-Cola & Anything Spicy! As much as I enjoy them..if I indulge I may as well get the air as low as it can go & the ceiling fans going too..cause it’s gonna get “SUPER STEAMING HOT” within my body😵😵😨😨!! Everyone in my home knows..ok time to get our sweaters, jackets & a blanket..because SHE’S HAVING A MOMENT😄😄..Pain also triggers a MAJOR SURGE for me & I’m in pain EVERYDAY..so coming to my home is almost like walking into a “meat freezer”
    But it feels…ohhh sooo good..ahhh😊
The crying & mood swings ALL came with the menopause! I WASN’T losing my mind..AT THAT TIME..it was just the changes my body was going through. Meds DIDN’T help😔! But a WHOLE LOT Of Praying & Iced Cold Water & Lemonade got me through😊!!

  4. I just wanted to add…. start valuing yourself enough to exercise even if it’s a good brisk walk… and use that time to talk to your Father!!
Also nutrition plays a hugh role in how we feel…..
    Please eat better!
Take good care of the ” whole” of you🌹
    You deserve it

  5. Yes. Menopause is no joke. His me at 46, the Perimenopause. Hot flashes, insomnia, anxiety. Not Fun at all. Thought I was going crazy until the Lord revealed what was going on. Went to a good natural doctor. Had hormones and arsenals checked. I was flatlined on both. Stage 3 adrenal fatigue also. Now on BHRT and feeling better. Still have daily struggles but better. Lots of prayer. Trusting Jesus to carry me through this season in my life.

  6. Yes our bodies change and go through different cycles but thank God for giving us the strength that we need and he’s transforming our body in so many different ways but we as women of God encourage each and every woman around this world to take care of your body and continue to trust God and his word Love you all and Sis Keasha 😍😘❤🌷⚘🤗 Sis of the King

  7. I agree with all you ladies. As I went through menopause I developed fibromyalgia. I also know I was going through lots of EMOTIONAL stress which complicated things. Our bodies are so complex and wonderfully made. But I did and still at times blame myself (and the enemy is right there to condemn too) for how I feel. It is understanding what is going on physically and emotionally with much prayer.
Thank you Kesha for putting this into perspective. This is refreshing and confirms our need to care for ourselves to be all God has called us to be. He will use even all we’ve gone through for His glory. God is a great and good Father and I have turned my life around by His grace and mercy and am more active than ever without the pain and fatigue I once had. . Praise the Lord!

  8. After reading this, I smiled! Im 4 months pregnant with my first child and the physical changes have been scary. It was hard to decipher between those feelings being my spiritual walk or changes in my overall body due to pregnancy! I have so much peace!!! God bless you!!

  9. What also helps me is remembering that God didn’t create woman as an afterthought. He created us with the ability to have children for the majority of the time we spend on earth and all the hormonal highs and lows that go with it. It was His plan the whole time.

  10. I am so very grateful for this on-time word from God and the ladies who shared their experiences as I am beginning this journey as well so God bless you ladies and Daughters of the king devotional it is a resource that has enriched my life❣
