My sister, you are accepted by God.

“…to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.” Ephesians 1:5-6

Everyone has experienced rejection in their lifetime. Let an employer tell you they don’t need you anymore after you’ve worked so many years helping to make the company rich, or let someone tell you they don’t love you anymore after you’ve invested so much into the relationship. This can cause even the best of us to turn into a completely different person. Rejection can make us do things we never thought we’d do, say things we never thought we’d say, all because we’re hurt that someone rejected us.

Jesus was fully acquainted with this feeling. The Bible says, He was the stone the builders rejected, but He became the chief cornerstone. Jesus was rejected, but He became. Instead of letting the rejection of man bring out the worst in Him, He chose to become who He was sent here to become—the chief cornerstone.

How was this possible? We all know the damaging affect rejection can have on us. However, we must also know the powerful healing affects of receiving God’s acceptance. When rejection is at its highest peak in your life, that’s when you must receive God’s acceptance and love the most. You could ask any woman of God who has bounced back from rejection how did she do it. She would tell you the only way she was able to heal and move on with her life was because she received the acceptance of her heavenly Father. He filled that place in her heart. She also received acceptance and love of the ones God placed in her life who truly love her.

I challenge you today, my sister, to receive God’s receive God’s acceptance of you. Let God bring out the best in you, instead of letting people bring out the worst in you. Anytime you feel the pain of rejection, turn your heart to the Lord so He can comfort and heal you. He will help you go on and live a wonderful and blessed life!

Prayer: Father God, I thank you for speaking directly to my heart. I forgive the person who rejected me and my heart is clear. I also forgive myself for putting their acceptance before you Father. I receive your love and acceptance that you so generously give. You love me with an unfailing love. Thank you for helping me go on and live a blessed life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  6. I have received the sting of rejection for years BUT I never understood why because I’m such a loving, considerate, passionate and understanding person. My prayer is that I NEVER reciprocate it to anyone because no ONE deserves to be treated like this. I’m asking God to create in me a clean heart and to make me more like him. Keep me in your prayers about rejection.

    Thanks,
    Edie
