Put Your Hand in His

“Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life” John 8:12, NKJV.

One morning, my son came to me and said, “Mommy, I have a surprise for you.” He wanted me to close my eyes and hold his hand so he could lead me. So I did. I had to trust he would not let me fall, run into a wall or step on anything on the floor. But as I walked with him, I could feel him moving and kicking things out of my way. He wanted me to get to his surprise without any harm. Then when we arrived, he shouted, “Surprise!”

The Lord deals with us in the same way. He reveals to our heart that He has something in store for us—an expected end. All He requires is that we put our hands in His and let Him lead us. What we don’t know is He is constantly moving things out of our way that could potentially harm us.

Maybe you’re walking by faith, and you’re hoping God won’t let you fall, won’t let you run into a wall or step in any situation that could bring you harm. Maybe you have entrusted your entire spiritual well-being into God’s care like never before, and you are hoping God will do what He said He’ll do. My sister, He will. If you keep walking with the Lord and letting Him lead you, you will arrive on time to His expected end.

Prayer: Thank You Father God for revealing to my heart that You have something in store for me. I put my hand in Yours, and I trust You to lead me wherever You would have me go. I know You love me and have my best interest at heart. I know You won’t let me fall. Thank You for moving people and things out of my way that are not good for me. I trust You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  2. Dear God and Sisters,

My family and I needs Gods hand now more than ever. We need His guidance as we prepare for tomorrows court date. My husband and I are going to walk into that courtroom with God as our protector and lawyer. We will go in with our Full Body Armor of God. I pray that God gives us words of wisdom in our defense and we will come out of the courtroom claiming victory. I pray that Judge Sedillo has mercy on us and sees how my inlaws have swindled us of thousands through the years and the home that we paid them double in a Verbal Agreement be put in my husbands name. He is extremely sick and unemployed. We have 2 children and need to stay in our home. Please God, do not allow anyone to take our home away from us. Please place a hedge of protection around us and bring peace and healing to our family. I claim this in Jesus name. Amen.
