Relationships are hanging in the balance.

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” James 1:5

While in prayer this morning, the Lord showed me that many relationships are hanging in the balance. Whether they are marriages, mother and daughter/son relationships, relationships between siblings, or friendships, He showed me that many of us are tempted to give up and are wondering what to do. My sister, this is when you go to the Father and ask for His wisdom. He says He lays up sound wisdom for the righteous (see Proverbs 2:7). He gives it freely and generously and doesn’t hold back. This is what real women of God do. We humble ourselves. We choose to own our mistakes and our part in the situation instead of making excuses for our behavior. We confront issues head-on, instead of denying them or running from them. We don’t give up on our husbands, our children, our friends, and we definitely don’t give up on our God. We give our relationships to the Lord and trust Him to see us through every difficult situation. We trust Him to turn it around and cause what the enemy meant for our bad to be turned around for our good.

Prayer: Father, I give my relationships to you, and I humble myself to your will. Give me wisdom as a wife. Help me to be the wife my husband needs. Give me wisdom as a mother. Help me be the mother my child needs. Give me wisdom as a friend. Help me to be the friend that my friends need. I trust you to get us through any challenge we face. Help me deal with the issues and not deny them or run from them. Let what we go through make us stronger, not tear us apart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
