Restoration doesn’t always mean reconciliation.

“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.” Proverbs 4:7

My sister, you may be praying for God to bring someone back into your life, but understand that restoration doesn’t always mean reconciliation. Sometimes we want to be reconciled because it makes us feel more in control of our lives. Or we could want to be reconciled because we are afraid of being alone and having to start over. Or we could want reconciliation because we simply miss them. My sister, God knows. He knows all these things and He cares. He will do what’s in the best interest of both of you. Have they moved on? Have they made it clear they do not want to be reconciled? If so, it’s time to let them go. That doesn’t mean that you are worthless and undeserving of love. You are God’s daughter and He loves you with a great love. You are fearfully and wonderfully made and a treasure to be around. Let the situation make you better for the next person God wants to bring into your life. They will fit you and your personality perfectly.

Prayer: Father God, thank you for your wisdom and understanding. It would great if you reconciled us, but I desire your peace and your perfect will more. I receive your love. Heal and restore me, Father. Help me become wiser from the situation, and better for the next person you will bring into my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  1. Good morning, I have some questions on estrangement.
Is there ever a valid situation that makes it right for someone to draw away from you or shut you out because of some perceived wrong you have done, without even expressing to you exactly what your sin was?
    And
Is forgiving someone in your mind but not letting them know you forgave them, true forgiveness?

    Matthew 18:15 New International Version
“If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over.

    1. I have a son,but now he is a woman. He says he wants to move on and forget about his past.Does that mean he doesn’t want to be reconciled with me his mom.

  2. Thank you God for your word through this ministry I receive your love for me and the name of Jesus have your way in my life God I’m leaning towards you needing your help in every area again I say thank you God Jesus Jesus Jesus receiving it in the name of Jesus

  3. Couldn’t you say the same the same logic could be applied to other scenarios?

    Example :

Just because Jesus died on the cross doesn’t mean he actually rose again. We should all move on because there is no reason to believe that!

Just because the Noah built the ark didn’t mean God would actually flood the earth. He should have just moved on … why should Noah expect rain?

Lazarus died…. Mary and Martha should have just let it go…. accept his death not acknowledge Jesus’ power. They should have moved on.

Your devotional lacks FAITH in our Lord. God is a God of miracles! If we don’t have HOPE and expectancy then why should we continue ?

You should search your Bible for every miracle from our Father! He is a God of Hosea and Gomer , He is the God of the Prodigal son, He is the finisher of our FAITH!

It’s a sad day today to see this devotional and how misleading it is. I stand in faith and expectancy…. !! What a shame – this devotional will tear apart some people who are standing for restoration something you will answer for.

    1. After reading each day, I invite my contacts to read this devotional and at times I encourage them to SEARCH the Scripture for themselves. [FIRST and FOREMOST.] By doing that for ourselves our Faith will grow as well as a firm reliance solely on “Thus saith the Lord”. When we are connected to God by faith, the Spirit gives us discernment as to the Truth and which message applies to us.
To my contacts I said the following this morning:

“When we have followed the principles set out in the Word of God on handling relationships first and foremost, His Spirit and wisdom will guide us to the next course of action. We should NOT take matters into our own hands without at least following step by step what God has said to do in His Word
      Matthew 18:15 NIV
“If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over.”
May we all be empowered to obey His Word and His leading.
Good morning and have a blessed day 🌺🤗🤗”

With that I pray that the work of the Holy Spirit has its way on the hearts of the readers that they can discern what message is true and applies because there are some turbulent or estranged relationships that God wants us to “let go of” or even “persevere in” WHILE He works on hearts and makes His Will evident. If He says “stand down” and you obey, its not a reflection on your lack of faith, but rather you obedience to His direction. God, and Him alone can transform the persons involved and restore them. We just have to be faithful and obedient to God’s leading…If He says “Let go and let Me”….obey… OR
when He shows you that you need to “have Faith in My reconciliation/restoration power”….HAVE FAITH! He will restore in His time!
I personally believe that God is a God of unity, Restorer of all that is broken. Follow every course of HIS leading, His ways are not ours nor His thoughts ours so trust Him and Him alone!

  4. Ladies, this devotional is dead on today. Not everyone who leaves our life is going to return because we pray or have faith. Every individual has their free will. If they choose to leave us, if they choose sin, God will not override tbeir free will to satisfy us. If we are willing to truly trust Him, we must release them. That includes releasing them emotionally and moving on. Jesus released Judas. He didn’t chase after him or try to persuade him not to betray him. He didn’t wait for him to return repentant. Yes, we can still remain open to a future possibility they will change but we must move on with Jesus in the meantime.

  7. Reconciled to Christ is letting go anything you desire more than Him (person, situation, or habit). Reconciliation is developing a relationship with Him first. Reconciliation is getting to know God because he already knows you and will reconciled you to Him.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteous; and all these thing shall be added unto you. Matthews 6:33KJV
There were things I held on to because it was not deserving and wanted to control. Those things kept me bound and I needed to surrender. No matter circumstances I needed to be honest with God, ask, and tell feeling.
Those thing I felt do not matter because through the journey God helped me to release control and forgive.
With any obstacle have now have this promise:
I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide you with mine eye. Proverb 33:8KJV

  9. Thank you for this word of encouragement for I needed to hear this Word. When you have been hurt several times from a person or group of people and they are not owning up to the hurt they have cause. I learn to move on , forgive them , allow God to heal me and restore me. Sometimes reconciliation is not needed.

  10. I know a few months ago i read one of the daily devos that was about reconciliation. Now i cannot find it. Anybody?? I think about 4 months ago. I am positive it was Daughters of the King.
