Return home.

“But I have this [one charge to make] against you: that you have left (abandoned) the love that you had at first [you have deserted Me, your first love].” Revelation 2:4, Amplified.

“…In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength…” Isaiah 30:15

A daughter decides to leave home and her father says something that stays with her. He says, “I love you, and this is your home. No matter where you go in life, and no matter what you do, know that you are loved, and you can always return home.” She then heads out the door. Knowing he can’t force her to stay, he prays for her night and day until one morning he hears a knock at the door. It is his daughter he’s been praying for.

To return is to come to the same state, to revisit. When it comes to our Father, we don’t have to pack our bags and head to another place to leave Him. We abandon Him in our hearts when we choose our way or the world’s way instead of His way. And after our way has left us broken and shattered, we begin to crave home.

My sister, your heavenly Father loves you, and He is your home. He is your rest, and He is your safety. No matter where you find yourself, no matter what you do, you are so loved, and you can return home. The enemy’s ultimate goal is to destroy you, but he doesn’t know, your heavenly Father has been fighting for you since the day you were born. He has spoken over your life, and has redeemed you from destruction. You are His.

You are still alive because of your Father’s rich mercy and His covenant with you. Jesus, Himself, has been interceding for you. It’s time to return home to your First Love. He will wrap His arms around you, restore you and love you as though you never left His side.

Prayer: Father, I repent of anything I’ve done that is not like you. Forgive me for thinking my way is better than yours. I come to you. Father, you are my home, and my safety. Thank you for your grace and mercy. You never give up on me. Your unfailing love and kindness are more than I can comprehend. I pray that you keep me close to your side, and be glorified in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  2. Good Morning Sister Keisha, and welcome back. Thank you for this devotional today.

I had dropped off for a little bit because I had caught Covid and at that time my phone had got destroyed at the same time I caught Covid. When, I got back you had to take a rest. During COVID-19 was my time to reflect and examine myself and hear from The Lord what He wanted me to know as I “Be Still!” I believe that is what The Lord wanted for me, and He allowed COVID-19 yo show my that I need to “Be Still and know He’s God!” I’m grateful that I know He will accepts us home, and I repent and ask for forgiveness daily.
Please pray for me that I live that He wants me to live, that He may get the glory from my life for He gave it to me.
Thanks again and welcome back πŸ€—πŸ™β€οΈ
