Saturate Yourself in God’s Word

“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” 2 Timothy 2:15, NKJV.

The life we desire to live is found in a deeper relationship with God’s Word. One that goes from mere head knowledge to applying it in our daily lives. The truth of His Word should be our bottom-line that settles every issue in our hearts and minds.

When we do this, we find that we’ll receive these key benefits:

His Word will convert our soul and make us wise (Psalm 19:7)

Enlighten our darkness or ignorance (Psalm 18:28)

Nourish us and help us grow spiritually (1 Peter 2:2)

Guide us through life (Psalm 119:105)

Help purify our hearts (Hebrews 4:12)

Minister life to us and to those around us (John 6:63)

Help us become more like Jesus (2 Corinthians 3:18)

Renew our minds and change our thinking (Romans 12:2)

Teach us how to live in a way that pleases God (2 Timothy 3:16)

Equip us to fulfill God’s purpose for our lives (2 Timothy 3:17)

Prayer: Father God, I thank you for giving me wisdom, knowledge and understanding of your Word. I pray you deepen my relationship with Your Word and cause it to change my life and the lives of those around me. In Jesus name, Amen.

Challenge: In Psalms 119, the writer expresses his deep love for God’s laws. If your love for God’s Word is not where you want it to be, read Psalms 119. It will inspire you to love God’s Word more deeply.

  1. Who does not want to have Jesus in their life is missing out. He will protect us from harm, he loves us unconditionally, he restores us, He guides, He abides in us, He grows us, He nurtures us, He heals, He causes us to prosper, He speaks to us, He renew us, He purift, sanctify, & justify us, He prepares a place for us to live in the future, He teaches us, but most of all, He died for us. It does not matter what race, color, economic status, education level, social circle we belong to, He is all that & more to those who believe that He is God, He died, was resurrected, & soon to return for His people. I thank God for my friend, Crystal F. in Florida, who sends me these awesome devotions. Thank you DOTK Family for allowing God to inspire you to help spread His Word.

  5. So absolutely true! The most important part is living it! Then you truly experience that the Word is alive.

  6. I/We can be Scholars in Theology, and quote every Bible verse verbatim, but if we’re not applying any of that knowledge to our everyday life, it’s useless!
    I can remember someone sharing something with me years ago about the letters of the Bible….
    B=Basic I=Instructions B=Before
    L=Leaving E=Earth
    Lord, I Thank You for Your Word! Your Word is what keeps me!! It is so true, EVERYTHING we need is in the Bible! If I/We took the time to actually read God’s Word, FAITHFULLY..we could save ourselves from a whole lot of unnecessary hurts, pains & disappointments..I am just as guilty..I’ve fallen short from reading The Word like I use too, but I’m back now😊..& it’s sooo refreshing & exciting, when you go to Church & you know exactly what the Preacher is Preaching/Teaching about, because you’ve read that!!! AMENNNN😄🙌💃👏!!!!
    Lord, Please Continue To Bless & Shine Your Light Of Love Upon Your Obedient Servant Sister Kesha, Her Awesome Team, This Amazing Ministry, My Sister Felicia & My DOTK Sisters💖!!
