Struck down, not destroyed

“…persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed” 2 Corinthians‬ , 4‬:‭9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬.

When lightning strikes a tree, it will likely catch fire and burn. On rare occasions, it could survive and live for many years. There have been countless storms where in that moment, I didn’t think I would survive. Very much like the tree, this storm is going to take me out. The still, small voice of the Holy Spirit reminded me, “You’re going to make it out victorious.” Victory wasn’t always in the way I imagined. Through the storms, I gained more than I ever lost, which came in the form of love and compassion.

Today I encourage you; the storm is temporary. Sister, there is an eternal home awaiting us. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who is our defender. You are in the hands of the one who defeated the grave! His loving grace and mercy cover us. His peace showers the lowly in spirit. His hope is alive and within you. Don’t allow the enemy’s lies to drown out the truth of Jesus. He is not one to abandon nor leave you. You will come out victorious through Jesus. You are the rare occasion, and you will survive. Don’t lose hope.

Prayer: Lord, I humbly come before your throne of Grace and ask you to strengthen my sister reading this. Feel her with peace. May she know you are not like the world, which deceives. Wipe every tear away, and fill her with joy. Lord, you are our great defender who protects and goes before us. Let your will be done in her life. In Jesus’ name, amen.

  4. What an encouraging word!! This reminds me of one of my favorite scripture verses in –
    *Matthew 7:24-25(KJV)

24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

Because our Rock is our “Shelter and Firm Foundation” as well as our Defense. We’re not destroyed. He Is The Great I AM, being everything when need and when we need Him. ❤️❤️❤️

Abigail Erin, DOTK Community Writer, yes Ma’am the storm is temporary! There’s always something we need in the storm. Thank you and God bless 🙏✝️💞
