The Bible tells us in Acts 1:8, “But you shall receive power, when the Holy Spirit has come upon you: and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” That word “power” is where we get the word dynamite. However, it’s not just a stick of dynamite the Bible is referring to; it’s referring to a stick of dynamite that is lit and on fire!
When we receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the Bible evidence of speaking in other tongues, we become powerful and explosive against the kingdom of darkness. Many times believers struggle unnecessarily in their Christian walk because they have no power.
Not only does God want people to be saved and come into His family, but He also wants us to walk in His Holy Ghost power. He wants us to have the total package!

First let me say how blessed I am by your devotional. However, I feel I must comment on your post for today.
Not everyone has or is given tge gift of tongues and to say or imply that it is the evidence of having the Holy Spirit within us could be damaging to new Christians or those who may be struggling with their faith. I do not speak in tongues but I am a strong Christian women who has walked with the Lord for many years. In 1Corinthians 12 Paul talks about spiritual gifts and in verse 28 he says “And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets….and those speaking in different kinds of tongues.”
Not everyone has the gift of the holy spirit, but it is available to everyone. God wants his people to have that power but as with everything else he will not force it on you. It’s up to us to desire it and do what is necessary to get it. He is not a repecter of persons.
Amazing GRACE. GOD has given me the gift of my own heavenly language. No words. I’m overwhelmed with joy. So POWERFUL!!!
I thank you my Sister…i feel the power of speaking in tongues for the first time. Thanks for taking the time to explain to us how its done and as a new beginning it my sound like baby talk…I really need this for empowerment. I often feel like i have no power when i pray…Keeping doing God’s Work for his kingdom. I know God is raising up His Army here on earth. Be Blessed
I I used to have this mindset too after I prayed and waited for this gift for years without getting it. I had concluded in my heart speaking in tongue is not for everyone. But deep down, the Holy Spirit convinced me it is for all believers and I should not give up. Then one day it happened and I can’t explain how amazing it has been.
I realized people who have done all they could but couldn’t get it usually conclude speaking in tongue is not for everyone. I waited for almost five years, but bless the Lord I got it. Shalom!
Good morning DOTK. Just a quick note. Please understand that the gift of the Holy Spurit is for Everyone. Be encouraged. Read the whole book of Acts. Then earnestly go before the Lord and tell Him you take Him at his word and that you know He is a God that does not lie. Tell Him that you want the Holy Spirit that Peter spoke about and that if He poured His Spirit out in Peters day He will do it today with you.
Sincerity. With Faith. I tell you He will do so. He is not a respecter of persons. We have not because we ask not. I am a witness. You will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues. The Spirit of God will fill you and fall on you as never before. I am a witness. You Sister will be empowered. I to enjoy the devotional as well and do agree with you and 1 Corinthians 12:27- the whole chapter of 13 talks about just what you are speaking of, so I encourage,Ms.Kesha to make it clearer to her followers on how encouraging them to build a more intimate relationship with our Father ,Son,and the Holy Spirit.I read these devotional every day and this was one that the Holy Spirit lead me to speak on as well, keep bring the word of God to many🙏🏾👼🏾

For all of us, God will give us what gifts He will. Don’t be discouraged and don’t allow the enemy to use anything given by DOTK, to make us feel that we are missing something and therefore doing something wrong. God gives as He will. God gives in His time. We needn’t worry or fret. We need to be charitable and obedient and to rest in His peace. Knowing He will give us provision for each day as only He truly knows what we need.

I am so thankful for the gift of speaking in tongues. I can’t even tell you how many times as the word says, when I have had no words to pray because of a very difficult trial and the Holy Spirit comes in with groanings and tongues only Our Father knows and understands and I receive His peace. Praise You Jesus. I love you Lord. I pray for all my DOTK sisters to be blessed with this precious gift💜

I love that sweet beautiful Godly spirit you have sister keshia and I received it after many years of wanting it just last year!!!When I think back on the times I was trying to be filled with the Holy ghost,to be honest ,it was all lip action,my heart was not opened to receiving it like it was when I asked the Lord to come into my heart,but last year praise God as I was sitting in my room on the couch ,my heart was so heavily burdened with hurtful family stuff and I began to pray in English praise God and I heard the Holy spirit say Speeeeeeeeeeeeak!!!! My mouth began to go uncontrollable and I felt the Power of the Holy Ghost overtake me and after I came out of it I realized it had to been about 30-40 min straight.I was overwhelmed with tears and I knew that whatever was grieving me in my spirit,without a shadow of doubt,God had fixed that thang(immediately)!!!!My heart was open to receiving it!!!Praise God!!!It’s available to us all,just open your heart the way you would open your hand to receive a gift from a loving Father!(trusting and believing that He will freely give you with gladness)!!!!!It’s Real!!!!!!
I felt the holy Spirit come over i am not sure if I spoke in tongues because I couldn’t understand myself but I felt this huge peace come over me and I pray I sleep tonight because I have something things that still hang on to me and stop my mind from shutting off and letting me rest !!! I am overwhelmed and over joyed. For so long I have wanted to baptizedin the Spirit and this morning Jan. 17, 2018 after listening to you and your prayer I was filled!!!!
