The Lord has prepared you to run your race!

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31

Years ago, I put on my shoes and headed to the front door. I was going for a jog around my neighborhood. It wasn’t just any jog; it was the one you take after having recovered from surgery. The air felt like it was welcoming me back. I had been away, having a baby and healing from a c-section. I had been immersed in motherhood and making our new house into a home. I had been holding my daughter and going up and down the stairs checking on my children.

My body needed this run, and so I began to run, pacing myself and controlling my breathing. I didn’t expect too much because I knew I hadn’t run in so long. When I got halfway around the neighborhood, my brain told me I was tired, and I should stop, but I continued to push forward. I tuned out the thoughts in my head telling me to quit, and I kept running, telling myself if I made it this far, I could make it even farther. And I did. I finished.

As I approached my house, the Lord began to teach me as He always does through ordinary life experiences. I didn’t think I could make it halfway around the block, but what I didn’t know was God had been preparing me the whole time. While carrying my daughter for months, He was strengthening my arms. And every time I ventured up and down the stairs, He was building the muscles in my legs. I was simply living my life, and He was preparing me to run my race without quitting.

I prophesy to you right now: You will run and not get weary. You will walk and will not faint. With every experience, both good and bad, God has been preparing you all along to run your race without quitting. You will mount up with wings like an eagle, and you will soar! You are being strengthened as you live your life. When your mind tells you to quit, you will say, “No, I’m going to keep going. If I made it this far, I could go even farther. I’m going to finish my race.” And you will by the grace of God.

  16. Just this morning I was ready to give up ! Asking God to put me to sleep like he did my husband 6months ago! My body pain and grief plus needing financial help was burning me out ! I know and have faith in my father in heaven! I know that Jesus is my lord and savior , but I gave up not being able to get out of bed ! So depressed could not move my body ! I texted my daughter and granddaughter that I could no longer live ! I felt just that ! All morning I cried out for God to just put me to sleep! Could not even make a cup of coffee that I love each morning! I all of a sudden could not see my way ! A voice spoke after I had slept off and on to turn the tv on , my favorite song was on joy comes in the morning ! After praying again and listened by to prayer and meditation psalm 27 I gradually begun to feel that I wanted t get up! My granddaughter was texting me to get up it is not the end of the world ! I said d for you maybe but mine ended when my husband died suddenly 6 months ago! I felt s sick but God whispered in my ear , you are not sick you need to sleep and rest ! I had not been sleeping or hardly eating and I got very weak sick !! Praise Hod I asked for eagles wings as my pastor had prayed for me the night before ! Praise the lord for this word sister , did not see it earlier but it is worth my reading it now !! Hallelujah to the precious lamb of God !! I got up today in his name ! My precious ggdaughters are spending the night I feel so much love !! God is awesome! He allowed me to cry and feel what I felt but did not put me to sleep ! God is almighty !! My light and my salvation !

    1. I’m so happy that you were able to get up and God sent some support for you. There is a Young Lady on YouTube who also lost her husband recently and she advocates for grieving widows. Her name is “Love, Brandi”. Maybe you could listen to her story and it just might help you get through some of your toughest days ❣️

  17. AMEN. I receive this prophetic word. Thank you Father for strengthening my faith and my physical body. Thank you for carrying me every step of the way. Thank you for preserving my body, and my renewing my youth. I will not rush you, but wait on you. You are a good and perfect GOD and therefore your timing is good and perfect ✨ 👌 😌
