The Power of Release

“Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you” 1 Peter 5:7.

When you are set on fulfilling God’s purpose for your life, you must remember to release people and situations to God. Why? Because it will destroy you and will hinder your spiritual progress if you don’t. Obey God and release them. You can’t free them by your power. You can’t deliver them in your own strength. You can’t, but God can. If anything miraculous is going to happen, it’s going to be by the power of God’s Holy Spirit.

Let’s not take upon ourselves a responsibility God didn’t give us. Let’s not worry ourselves trying to figure out what we can do to save anyone from the choices they are making. Let’s do only what God tells we to do and release it to Him. I’ll say it again. Let’s do only what God tells us to do and release it to Him. I know it’s hard, but you must know that God cares for that person and for you. Give it to your heavenly Father and stand back and watch Him work.

The Lord is saying by His Spirit, “I will do what I promised you. I will. You can trust Me. Entrust them to Me. I go where you can’t. I see where you can’t. Nothing is hidden from Me. Release them to Me. Give it all to Me and you will see Me demonstrate My love and My power in ways you thought were impossible.”

Make a list of every person you are carrying on your heart and mind. Go down the list and say:

Prayer: Father God, I care so much for _____(say their name)______, and I want to see _______________ experience new life and freedom in you. I exercise the power you have given me through Jesus and I release ______________ by faith into your care. I entrust ______________ to you. I move out of the way, and pray you have your way in _______________ life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  1. Thank you so much Jesus!!!! You have no idea, this hit me in my life today sooooo specifically, that it shocked me. The Lord spoke directly to me, pointedly, through you today! What a miracle and it’s always so exciting when I hear God’s voice so clearly!!!
I have been desperately trying to to save my boyfriend. I came back to Christ about a year ago, and he basically believes, but we are going through terrible spiritual warfare. I’ve been trying to release him from addictions of many sorts are he keeps getting into trouble…he literally got arrested again this weekend under truly bizarre circumstances. Of course I bailed him out, and of course he just kept on going with the drinking, etc. just resisting God’s call on him to repent and change.
I truly believe we are nearing Jesus’ return and it just grieves me to think he might not make it,that maybe he’s irredeemable.
My daughter also, although she is awesome, successful, amazing….lives back in Seattle, my old home, and she was raised in with me into witchcraft, her father was an atheist. She’s respectful of my belief, but steadfastly resists me speaking of Jesus or even the reality of the state of the world we live in. If I preach to her she stops speaking to me and gets angry. I feel like I’m not obeying God by not being more insistent, but now I see I can release both of them, and trust that God has got them in the palm of His hand. Glory be to God!!! Jesus is so good!!!

  7. I ask everyone to help me pray for my son Jalen. He’s involved with a young lady that God told him not to get involved with. Well he went behind his dad and I backs and proposed to this young lady. His dad and I have been talking to him, but he’s not listening. He’s doing what this young lady is telling him to do. Please help me pray that God will open his eyes before it’s to late 🙏🏾
