To my married sisters…

To my married sisters, some thought yesterday’s devotional was all the confirmation they needed to leave their husbands. No, that was not the intent in writing that devotional. To be clear, the devotional was not directed at marriages. Yesterday’s devotional was for relationships in general. Friendship relationships, dating relationships, family relationships, etc. Again, it was not directed at marriages, and my sincere apologies for not being clear. If you need God to show you what to do regarding your marriage, He promises to give wisdom to anyone who needs it (see James 1:5) God’s wisdom is found in His Word. You don’t have to guess what His will is, He’s made it very clear and plain how He feels about marriage and divorce, and how He expects His children to treat their spouses, love them and honor them. He makes it clear and is not vague at all. Yet, special circumstances causes us to wonder. If you ever want to know what God thinks about something, ask Him. He will confirm it in His Word and will give you peace. He will guide you by His Holy Spirit and remove any confusion and doubt. I will continue to pray for your marriages that God will guide you by His Spirit and give you the wisdom you need. In Jesus name.

  5. Amen Sister Kiesha I’m glad you clarified things because as I read it (which I enjoyed) I kept thinking some people who are struggling or having issues in their marriage will probably use this as confirmation for divorce. I too knew it wasn’t a message to one direct relationship type but for all relationship types! Thank you for your daily words of encouragement, inspiration, motivation & uplifting. We thank God for you and we love you!!
