Sometimes I can’t see the sun because clouds are blocking my view. The clouds cause me to not feel the sun’s warmth against my face or see it’s light. So I close my eyes and remember how the sun felt until the clouds pass.
We all experience times in our lives when we know God loves us, but we don’t feel His love, we don’t feel His warmth, or His face shining upon us. Because of the storms of life, we feel as though we’ve fallen out of favor with God.
Just like the sun He spoke into being, God’s light is constant because He is light and the degree of His affection for you remains intense and off the charts whether you can feel it or not. As His daughter, you have favor with Him through Jesus always. Clouds may be blocking your view, but that is when you have to trust in what you know verses how you feel.
Never allow a temporary situation to cause you to question God’s eternal love for you. You will experience Him smiling upon you and you will walk in His favor again. Close your eyes and remember His warmth and goodness until the clouds pass.
Prayer: Glory to Your name Father God. I love You. Thank You for the much needed encouragement to my heart. I know You love me and I trust You will see me through every storm and trial. I remember when You saved my life. I think about when You came through for me and my family time and time again. I think back to how You blessed me even after I messed up. Thank You for Your goodness and Your grace. Help me to hold on to these memories until the storms of life passes by. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thank you dear sister for your heart of love. For this precious reminder. Yes the clouds have been heavy for awhile but then I remember His goodness and all He has brought me through and my heart wells up with tears of joy. And I know that if I can’t see the wisdom of His hand in my affliction then I can ALWAYS trust the love of His heart. Bless you all my DOTK sister’s. JESUS is the reason for the season 💜
