What feels dark to us is fully visible to Him.

“Even the darkness is not dark to you, but the night shines like the day for darkness is as light to you.” Psalm 139:12

The Lord put this is on my heart to write for our church’s 21 days of prayer and fasting. He has been showing me that it is time to go deeper in my relationship with Him. In His kindness, He has begun to gently bring things to the surface areas of my heart that He desires to heal.

Salvation is the first step in our healing journey, and it is one of the most powerful and sacred moments of our lives. Yet, God in His wisdom, does not heal everything at once. His love is so vast that if we fully grasped it all at once, it would overwhelm us. In the same way, when we first come to Christ, we are not yet ready to face every place within us that needs healing. So, the Lord is patient with us.

In His perfect timing, He reveals what needs His touch only when we are ready. There are places in our hearts that feel painful, hidden, and difficult to face. But Psalm 139:12 reminds us that nothing is hidden from Godβ€”not our wounds, not our fears, and not the places still in need of healing. What feels dark to us is fully visible to Him, and His light meets us there with healing and restoration.

Prayer: Lord, we thank You for the gift of salvation and for the healing work You begin the moment we come to You. Thank You for Your patience, Your gentleness, and Your perfect timing. We invite You to continue bringing Your light into every place of our hearts that needs healing. Help us to trust You as You lead us deeper, knowing that nothing in us is hidden from You and nothing is beyond Your power to restore. We surrender every dark and broken place to You and receive Your healing with gratitude and faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
