Will you trust your broken heart to His healing hands?

“And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.” Revelation 21:5

Imagine for a moment that you are standing on the outside of a hospital. You see deeply wounded people all around, surrounding the building. However, instead of going inside to receive help, they choose to stay outside. It’s not that the hospital is full, or closed or has a long wait. It’s open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is always, always ready to help, but it can’t make hurting people receive its’ care. The hurting must come in on their own free will.

While praying one morning this is the image God revealed to me. I had a moment when I felt absolutely helpless to the hurting around me. I see the pain people are in and their extreme suffering behind closed doors and I know the One that can heal them because He healed me. I know the One that can make all things new because that’s what He did for me. But I can’t force a broken heart to trust in His healing hands.

All we can do is pray.

You may wonder why the pastor can’t heal you, why your doctor can’t heal you and why these devotionals hasn’t been able to heal your deep wounds. You wonder why you feel good for a moment, then the emotional pain returns in full force. It is because only God can heal you to the core of who you are, but it’s only when you come to Him. Not once. Not twice. It’s when we continue to come to Him and frequent His presence that true intensive care takes place.

No one can heal you like God can. Will you trust your broken heart to His healing hands? He will make your heart new, your mind new, your desires new. Don’t go into this new year standing outside of the only One that can heal you. Come to Him and you won’t be disappointed. Come to Him and He will heal your heart completely and make all things new.

Prayer: Father God, I come to you now. Here’s my heart. It’s been broken. Here’s my life Lord. Take it. It’s broken. I need You Lord to mend me. I know you are the only one who can help me so I come to you, not once or twice, but frequently. I will keep opening myself up to you until I am healed completely and everything’s new. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  12. Wonderful words of encouragement!
As I’m reading this devotional, “I Surrender” by Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir is playing. That’s what we must do to be healed, emotionally, mentally, physically & spiritually–
surrender ALL to God; & continuously. We have to give Him ALL the pieces of our broken hearts. β€οΈοΈπŸ’šπŸ’•
HE is the ONLY one Who can heal totally & make us well & whole. But, as the devotion says, WE must come to Him. HE is waiting, willing & fully able.
This devotion is especially pertinent for me, as I’m grieving the loss of my husband (Oct 25). I continuously come to God for my healing.
Our Gracious, Merciful God is the Almighty Comforter & The Great Physician, JEHOVAH RAPHA, THE GOD THAT HEALETH THEE. He is ever Faithful.
Thank You, Abba Father, for Your healing power. Thanking You, as You are putting me back together; mending & making me whole. I love ❀️ You, Lord. In the Precious Name of Jesus. Amen πŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎπŸ˜‡
    HAPPY NEW YEAR, to All.
Be safe. Be blessed. Be grateful.

  13. Absolutely!! Not only must I choose to come to Him but those I love who are in deep pain must choose on their own. I so badly want them to allow Him to heal their pain but I can’t force them. Healing is freely offered to all but all must reach a point whether they will choose to submit to Father God’s healing hands.
