#WisdomNugget

When our kids were younger, they enjoyed building tents or forts in our living room made of blankets, pillows and furniture. I remember one day my daughter went to her brothers and asked, “Why aren’t you guys helping me build the tent?” She felt upset that they continued to play and didn’t seem interested at all. After several pleas for help, she gave up and started to pout. I explained to her, “When it comes to guys you can’t be vague. You have to let them know exactly what you need help with.” They didn’t mind helping, she just had to be more specific. So she went again to her brothers, “Guys, I need your help building the roof of the tent. Can you help me?” They all followed her into the living room to help her build the roof and complete the tent.

Guys are designed by God to help build things, fix things and make things better, all they need to know is specifically what you need help with. Instead of getting frustrated with the men in your life because they’re not helping you in ways you need them to, be more specific.

    1. That’s funny, my youngest son (37) reminded me of that, when I wanted his dad to do something and he didn’t respond, and my son told me that I had the wrong approach. He suggested that I be more specific with his dad and tell him, what I needed him to do. Much to my surprise, I tried it and it work !!! Must be a Man’s thing !!

  9. This really spoke in an area of my struggle with a person in which I have very strong feelings for. I am not with this person in whom I had previous 5 year relationship. This spoke volumes to my present struggle. Thank you to all you women here who post and pray for these messages.
