And Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does this have to do with me? My hour has not yet come. His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you” John 2:4-5, ESV.
While praying for my husband one morning, I prayed for God to encourage his heart. Then the Lord said to me, “You do it! You encourage him.” Another time while praying for my daughter, I asked God to bless her greatly. The Lord said to me, “You do it! You bless her.” While praying for Him to help His daughters learn who they are in Christ. He calmly replied, “You do it! I will grace you to teach them who they are in Me.”
God will use you to do the very thing you’re desperately crying out for Him to do.
We are His hands and His feet in the earth, and He wants to use us to bless, to encourage, to strengthen others and bring about change. Instead of saying, “Lord, do it!” Do what He has empowered you to do. People will see your good works and will glorify your Father.
Prayer: Father God, thank You for speaking to my heart. I have asked You to do many things. Now I ask that You to use me to bless others, to encourage them and to help as many as You send my way. Whatever you tell me to do, help me to do it. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
