You Have Power Over Fear

“I have given you power to tread serpents and scorpions underfoot, and to trample on all the power of the enemy; and in no case shall anything do you harm.” Luke 10:19

Fear has no power over you. But you feel like it does. You feel like you have no choice but to fear. The circumstances you’re in seems to make it clear that you must live in fear. The unknown scares you so you tell yourself, “of course I must fear it.” The never ending long suffering tells you that fear is the only way to respond.

This is a complete lie from the enemy. This is exactly where he wants you to be. Fearful, weak, insecure, doubtful and afraid. In a place far from the Lord. This is where He wants to keep you because He knows how powerful you are when you remain close to the Lord and far away from fear.

Fear is not a part of you. It feels like it is because it has been with you for so long. But today is the day that you receive this deep revelation from God in your heart and your mind. That not only is fear not a part of you, but that you have the power to stop the enemy in his tracks when he tries to overcome you with fear. The devil is the father of lies and fear is a liar! Jesus is truth and His truth will set you free from fear. As soon as you command fear to flee in the name of Jesus,it will. It must flee because Jesus has all aurhority over the enemy and in Jesus’ name, you can claim that authority. You have great power in the name of Jesus. But it is up to you to not allow fear to gain entrance into your mind and heart ever again. Remember. The enemy roams around “like” a lion to see who he can devour. But Jesus “is” the Lion of Judah!

So, remember today what God has told you. He said he has given you power over fear. He has given you the authority to trample on the devil and serpents. The Lord told you that His perfect love for you casts out all fear.

He said you have the authority over the devil. The one who wants to overwhelm you with fear. To break you down. To make you weak. To stop you from being the powerful warrior that you are in Christ. To overcome you and overwhelm you. To exhaust you and overtake you.

Prayer: Thank you Jesus! You have given me power in your Name to never answer to fear again. To cast it out. To not claim it. To step on it, run over it and crush it! To trample on the devil’s head. To command fear to flee. I am not weak as the devil would want me to think. I am strong and powerful through you. I am a mighty warrior in the army of Christ!

“There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love’s complete perfection].”

  1. I will plead the blood of Jesus over my life and my loved ones, for fear does not conquer, in the name of Jesus, AMEN! Thank you God.

  2. This was so timely for me. I was struggling with a feeling of uneasiness about a relationship. Right before I read this devotion God showed me it was fear of what I couldn’t see. He reminded me to just trust what he sends, and don’t fear what I don’t have control over…No fear in love!!
    Thank you.

  3. I rebuke fear, right now, in the Mighty Name of my Lord and Risen Savior, Jesus Christ!! My Strength and my Redeemer, I am finished running from fear! You, Sweet Savior, please encompass me like a Shield for Divine Protection only You can provide!! I will always stand on Your Promises for they are tried and true!!!! Glory to my God in the Highest!!!

    1. I wouldn’t say rebuke fear, but embrace it as a way to fuel the charge you need to move forward. I just listened to TD Jakes message on Sunday about The Grace to Make Changes pt.2. He speaks about the thin line of Fear & Faith.
*From my understanding, Use Faith to trust in God and Fear to propel you forward.*

  4. I have walked out terror I thought in multiple ways. I fought for my life with Covid and even loss my husband and health. I won, I had the victory but there was a sobering knowing of what intense to the death warfare is like. I won but I found little pockets of fears that just showed up when I was left in a sudden unknown life. I found myself planted in one of my most intense fears
Fear of loss, fear of failure, and fear of poverty all three at once. They would present in chorus, I would continue to push back against the emotional responses, It has been victory in each step moment by moment not an over arching. I keep talking declaring, imagining my victories moment by moment. These are hard tests but we were created for these. You might have to crawl, cry, press, be paralyzed for a moment. But if I intended and appropriated victory. Victory does come. This was a knock down drag out fight. But I never want fear to hold/grip me like that again. So it was on. I didn’t care what or how long if I had to stand for a decade fear had to go because I was only having Victory! Be Encouraged

  5. Thank you Lord for this on time word. It was yesterday when I heard of the news that a ten-year-old child and his mother from the church I attend died in a fatal car accident. The church members, prayed, shout, and petitioned on the behalf of these individuals but God has other plans. Survived from the accident is the decedent’s husband and two-year-old child who were in the car the time of the accident.

These individuals are familiar to me from church. Also we serve within the children ministry together. This news is alarming because you do not know the plans that God has for our life. A women who first ministry is her marriage, serves in church, and uses her testimony to motivate others is now home with our Lord and savior.

I say this all to say that the news of this tragic death has made me fearful. I became fearful after I saw how hard everyone from the church fought for this mother and her child to live and not die. It also brought me back to the untimely death of my mother and father.

Lord, I know you have not given me the spirit of fear. I pray for peace in this time of grief. I pray that I will be get right in the eyes of the Lord when my time expires on Earth. Jesus save my soul and lead me closer and closer to you each day. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen

  10. This word is powerful. Glory be to GOD 🙌🙏✝️

I agree with it, I align with it, I believe it, I receive and I will act on it in Jesus’ name💯

  11. I get what you’re saying but anxiety is a real medical condition that needs various treatments layered together to fix. Dr tracey marks book called why am i so anxious explains what can fix anxiety although its a natural response to stressful challenges. I dont see how prayer can totally fix this medical condition, God gives us drs and psychiatrists to help.
