You will get through it.

“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 15:57

I remember years ago after an argument, I told my husband, I was leaving. I went to the closet and started packing a suitcase. He came over to me and said, “Where are you going?” I told him, “I’m leaving. I can’t take this anymore.” We had been struggling for a long time and I was tired. As I stuffed clothes in my suitcase, he looked at me and said, “We got in this together and we’re getting out of this together.”

I unpacked with tears.

The greatest marriages you admire all have their stories of how they made it through sickness, financial crisis, job layoffs, family issues, baby momma drama, loss of loved ones and the list goes on. These relationships have gone through the ups and downs of life, but they got through it together.

I am glad I unpacked that suitcase years ago because the good days are so much sweeter when you’re with the one who stuck with you through the bad days.

My sister, whether married or single, no matter what you face, the Lord will cause you to triumph in everything. He will see you through every problem you face, and will help you to see past what’s in front of you to what He has waiting for you.

Prayer: Thank you, Father, for the encouragement. Thank you for helping me not give up when things get tough. You are faithful. You will bring me through victoriously because you are good. Help me get before your face and your word as you navigate me through. Be glorified Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

(Read 2 Corinthians 2:14-15; Psalms 84:11; Psalm 66:12)

  3. Good Morning! Thanks again for letting me know not to look at what is going on around me, That I need to continue to look to Him, Who Is, The Author and Finisher of my faith. 4. Amen! Amen! Amen! 🙌🙌Yes Lord! It’s not what you go through but how you go through it. We all suffer and go through difficult situations at some point but 🙏 PRAY and let God show you what and how to deal with your particular situation. God will NEVER leave us nor forsake us no matter how alone we may feel at the time. Our greatest self is developed during tough times. Much is given, much is required. As for marriage and finances, success comes after crucifying the flesh and learning to die to the “me” mentality and learn to embrace the “we” that you have become with your spouse. That’s your new oneness that the two of you have to learn and become in Christ and with Christ. Faint not in well doing because if you endure past the ugly phase how sweet and beautiful are yoyr latter years. God bless you.💖

  8. I pray for the people in Texas from hiati who border police are maltreating. I pray that more ppl speak out against cops on horseback whipping hungry trapped people using lariat (lassoo).
My parents stuck together for decades and we’re miserable and abused each other. They hated each other. Oil and water. Stayed to be respectable/for clout or money or convenience.
Some people shouldn’t stay together. Kids get traumatized being around screaming shouting every day and misery.
However in the case of this post, it’s not the same situation. I’m glad you gortthru it. Praise God
