Your faithfulness to God is blessing someone.

“For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others…” Matthew 20:28, NLT

I’ll never forget when a dear friend of mine lost her three month old son years ago. It was their first child. As soon as we received the heartbreaking news, we jumped into our car and drove three hours to comfort her, along with all of her family and friends.

Sometime later, I called and asked her how she was doing. She said, “I’m just looking for opportunities to share Jesus with people.” I’ll never forget that moment. I was standing in the grocery store with the phone in my hand. Tears began to run down my face because my beautiful friend, who had every right to be bitter and angry with God, was looking for ways to win people to Him. That showed me that Jesus certainly lives within her because no one can respond in that manner and not have a real relationship with the Father.

In life, we all experience circumstances that completely devastate us. However, just as my friend’s faithfulness to God encouraged me and created a memory that I’ll never forget, our faithfulness to God is one way God shines His light through us. It shows that Jesus truly lives within us and we truly have a relationship with the Father that nothing can take away.

Prayer: Father God, thank you for speaking to my heart. No matter what I go through in life, help me to turn to you and not against you. Remove all bitterness and anger. Give me a heart for the lost and help me never stop serving you no matter what I face. Help me remain faithful to you and your calling on my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
