Your most valuable possession.

“Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.” Matthew 5:8

Having a pure heart is like walking through a dark city holding a clear glass of water. Everyone sees your clear glass and the pure water in it. They wonder how is it that your glass is full of clean water in such a dark and grimy place. Some run to you desperately so they can have what you have, and some hate you for it and only want to throw dirt and mud inside of what you hold so dear.

My sister, your most valuable possession is not your material possessions or your money. Your most prized asset is your heart and what God has accomplished in it. Every action and every behavior–whether right or wrong–flows from the heart. Which is why our greatest pursuit should be for God to purify our hearts and to keep it pure until Jesus returns for us. More than praying for wealth, for promotion or for material possessions, pray for a pure heart, for right motives, and for a constant longing to please the Father.

Prayer: Father God, more than anything I pray for you to search me and clean out my heart and make it pure in your sight. Give me a longing to please you and glorify you. Protect the heart you give me Lord, and give me wisdom and spiritual discernment to know and recognize good and evil. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

(Read Matthew 10:16; Proverbs 4:23; I Samuel 16:7; Psalm 139:23)

  6. Praise God! That’s was a prayer answered with me wanting to know while I’m on my journey, I asked about my most valuable possession. Father, thank You, for answering me so quickly. That’s why I believe He has me praying this to:
    *Psalm 51:10 –
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
I want to pass every test with being able to help someone else along the way. Building me to help build-up the Kingdom of God is so important to me. That’s why I ask Him to guard my heart with asking for discernment to do His will.

God please give the eyes to see and the ears to hear when good and evil arise. Give me the wisdom, knowledge and understanding to discern.

I must focus on me and my heart. I must stay pure. I am trying to help broken people when I still need healing. I do not want to play God I am tired of being hurt by people that I love. Lord please give me the strength that I need to fight these battles. In Jesus name I pray Amen.
