You're going to be alright!

“Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content” Philippians 4:11. NKJV.

I remember one day I told my husband that I felt exhausted and that I needed a vacation. Although we couldn’t afford it, I wanted to take everything in the bank and go anywhere just to escape for a moment from the pressures of life. I feared that if I didn’t get away, I would explode. But God spoke to my heart and said, “You’re not going to explode. You’re not going to lose it. You’re going to be alright. That’s just fear. You’re in a new place in Me now, and it is time you begin to operate by faith and not fear.” At that moment I made a decision that with or without a vacation, I was going to be alright, and I was.

Fear can make you feel like you won’t make it unless you get what you think you need or want. The truth is, you’re going to be alright my sister even if you don’t get the job, the house, the much-needed vacation or time away with your closest friends. God didn’t give you a spirit of fear; He gave you a spirit of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (see 2 Timothy 1:7). I’m going to tell you the same thing God spoke to me, “You’re not going to explode. You’re not going to lose it. You’re going to be alright. That’s just fear. You’re in a new place in Me now, and it is time you begin to operate by faith and not fear.”

Prayer: My Father God, thank you for growing me up and helping me to mature in Christ. Thank you for showing me what it means to be content and trust you with all my heart. I know everything is going to be alright because you are in control and you love me. Help me learn to operate by faith and not fear. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  5. A few sundays ago my pastor preached a sermon titled: “I have what I need to get what I want”. It blessed me because often times I would ask God for things instead of a closer relationship with him. God helped me to realize that things are not important, but what is critically more important, is my relationship with Him. THANK YOU GOD!

  6. I have literally been in a tired, exhausting and draining place. Wanting to escape, not do anything in ministry, all I’ve thought i wanted to do is close the door to everyone and not let them in. This message was right on time!! So needed

Keisha, God is using you & DOTK to bring awesomely powerful messages of strength, courage, hope, ❤️ love, inspiration, encouragement, motivation & so much more to reach & bless so many. I thank God & you for your obedience.
I so look 👀 forward to seeing what The Lord is telling me each day through these devotions.
Today’s message was just what I needed today. My husband passed away from this life to be with the Lord 5 months ago & sometimes I feel like “what now?” & “where do I go from here, Lord?” I’m 66 & now live alone, which I don’t mind at all; but, I do miss Wayne not being around the house 🏡 & especially at our small Church. He used to preach every other Sunday, until he got sick last April. God is soooo good & I know HE is with me always. I stand on His promises & often pray them back Him. I long ago learned to be content in whatever state I’m in.
Yet, sometimes, it’s still hard. These devotions really & truly help me. Thank You Dear Jesus & DOTK. I love ❤️ you all & pray for you. Please remember me in your prayers. God bless all!🙏🏾😇🦋🦋🙏🏾🙏🏾💕👏🏽✝️🎶👋🏽

    1. Bless you my sister. You truly are a strong women of God. I am 64 and I want to be just like that in anything that the Lord might have for me ahead♡

    2. Thank you dear sister for sharing your heart and god bless you that you can praise and be content in your present situation. I too found the message to be right on time as He knows what we have need of even before we even know. I had been in the calgon take me away mode many times but instead heard Him tell me to be still and know that He is God. What an awesome and mighty God we serve. In the good, bad, ugly, and indifferent He is faithful. Content indeed. Thank you Jesus! Please pray for my grandson he has been dealing with virus symptoms for a full week now praying that in His present situation He will draw nearer to God. Amen!💜
