A Responsible Woman

“Whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked” 1 John 2:6, ESV.

Before we begin, ask yourself these questions:

Do I run from responsibility?
Do I shrink back from new opportunities?
Do I blame others for where I am in life?
Do I accept responsibility for my actions?
Do I try to delegate something God has clearly told me to do to someone I feel is more qualified?

Don’t rush to read the rest of this devotional. Stay right here for a moment and think about your responses to these questions.

In your pursuit to be all that God desires you to be—a Kingdom woman that operates on a Kingdom level—you will need to often examine yourself. It requires asking yourself tough questions and being completely honest in your answers.

Now that you’ve examined yourself, say this out loud from your heart:

I am God’s daughter and I am responsible for my actions.
I am God’s masterpiece and I am responsible for where I am in life.
I am empowered by God to do what He has told me to do.
I am chosen by God to go through the doors He opens for me.
I am a responsible woman through Christ!

Prayer: My Father God, thank you for ministering to the core of my being. I ask your forgiveness for any time I didn’t accept responsibility. You are calling me higher to a place I’ve so longed to be. I accept your invitation and the challenge of your Holy Spirit to come up and grow deeper. Thank you for making me a responsible woman. In Jesus name, Amen.

Thank you for this morning devotional. It was right on time because I had resigned from my job 2 months ago; than last Friday Exec Dir asked me “Are you ready to come back? Anyway the Operation Mgr had just quit Friday. I am a Shelter Advocate at a homeless shelter for 3 years but I have been ministering and serving the less fortunate without homes for 13 years. Well the Operation Mgr position is open and now it has been confirmed to apply for the position; I Am A Daughter of The King…I Am A Responsible Woman!!

  7. Lord, help me as I often take responsibility for all, let me not be so hard on myself when I lack the confidence to do what You have called me to do. Help me to move forward in my insecurities, step out by faith and not by sight to bring forth all You has set before me. Help me Lord to know my worth, dig up my talents so You can get the increase in Jesus’ name, Amen.
