“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does” James 1:22, 25, NKJV.
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning” James 1:17, NKJV.
I remember we had a financial need and I didn’t know what to do. However, I had some mini-books in our vehicle that God blessed me to write. I felt like what can God do with this. Yet, I prayed, went out and God blessed me to sell those books and we received the money we needed. From that experience God taught me He has given me what I need to create wealth. My wealth was right in front of me. I only needed to apply my faith in Him and in what He has put in my hands.
Believing God answers prayer will encourage you. Yet that won’t help you alone. Applying your faith by actually praying is what will change you. It’s not enough to have faith about our covenant with God and creating wealth. You can have faith, but until you apply your faith, until you exercise your faith, you won’t receive. Faith is like a seed. Applying your faith in your gifts is when you put it into the ground and watch God increase you. It is moving beyond just being a hearer of the Word only, into doing what He instructs you to do, as He leads you into His financial promises.
Apply your faith and use your gifts to create your wealth. Apply your faith and give (Luke 6:38). Apply your faith and take action toward the call God has on your life and your dreams. It may seem little, yet these are the exact same things that God will use and confound our own wisdom. It doesn’t take God much to make great changes in our lives, even a seed of faith applied in your gifts.
Prayer: Father, thank You for speaking to me this morning. Lord, I have faith, but also help me to apply my faith in You and in my gifts. I will not underestimate what you have put in me. Help me to believe You can take what appears to be the smallest things and bring great financial change and blessings in my life. I praise You in advance! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
