Christ Makes Christmas

“Then the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord” Luke 2:9-11, NKJV.

The holiday season can be a depressing time for many because we desire to do so much for others, and for our families. I want to encourage you with what the Lord has shared with my husband and I over the years.

Gifts don’t make Christmas. A tree doesn’t make Christmas. Christ makes Christmas. Jesus is truly the reason for the season. If we focus on Christ, if we decide to be thankful for who you have and what we do have, we will find this special day never loses its’ power. It never loses its’ gladness and joy. God is an awesome God, and He will make sure you and your family still have a wonderful Christmas!

Prayer: Father, I praise you for the greatest gift of Jesus. Christ makes Christmas. I will not be depressed, but full of joy. There are things that I wanted, things I wanted to do for those I love, but I thank you for giving my family and me what we need. I thank you for who I have and what I have. Use me to help my family enjoy Christmas. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

(Read Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 1:21; John 3:16)

  4. Good Morning and Merry Christmas!! Praise God 🙌🙌🙌
He is Worthy to be honored. There is no one like Him nowhere! The church bulletin on December 19, 2021 I used the scripture you started off with this morning in Luke. Then, I sent a Christmas greeting to my cousin in Houston, Texas using some similar words of why we have Christmas with Him being our Hope. It’s because Christ hung on the tree. Is God is for us, who can be against us!!!

    🎄💐🙏❤️❤️❤️

  5. Thank you for posting on Christmas day for us. Is Important message. Off topic – last nite I tried to attend Church but it was “midnight mass” I think this concept is not inclusive. Going out for midnight and coming home very late is not very Accessible. And disrupts healthy sleep patterns. And who looks after the kids? If you have any power I ask you argue against this, or at least provide more inclusive Other timed services. The Church has zero else to celebrate Christmas so I missed out. Just saying two cents.

  8. Amen!!! What an awesome gift exchange that was made when CHRIST was born, when he died and when he was resurrected.
He sacrificed His life, and in return we receive salvation, resurrection power and everlasting life.
The greatest gift is JESUS ✝️💯🙌
