“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded” James 4:7-8, KJV.
As I read this scripture, I interpret it as a “progressive” scripture. Meaning, as we do what is says from the beginning, then the rest will happen naturally. In order for us to not be double minded, we must first submit ourselves completely to the Lord. As we draw closer to Him, seek Him, love Him, we will naturally cleanse our hands of wrongdoing and will want to purify our hearts of anything that would separate us from the Lord. Double minded is simply “divided loyalties”.
Another term for that would be “lukewarm” and the Word of God clearly says that if you are lukewarm, He will spew you out of His mouth. You can’t have one foot in the world and one foot in Heaven. It’s time to decide who you will serve. I encourage you to completely submit your life to Him. Surrender EVERYTHING! Let Him take over. God will draw nigh (close) to you and help you. You cannot be king of your own life and live for the Lord – you must submit it to Him so you will receive an abundant, everlasting life!
Prayer: Lord, I come to You today to completely surrender my life and my will to You. Take me, Lord, cleanse my heart of anything that is not of You. Mold me into a vessel You can use for Your Kingdom. Purify my heart and give me singleness of mind, completely dependent upon You. I love You Lord and I want to be a witness for You. I want to hear those words, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of the Lord.”

Last night I was thinking about going on a fast. Then this scripture came up what a mighty God, we serve.🙏💜
me to sis i been feeling heavy on my spirit to get some brothers and sisters in christ to lay their hands on me and pray over me to pray for deliverance over me and then i was going to fast and pray afterwards i pray the Holy spirit gives us a SUPERNATURAL STRENGTH FOR US TO SUBMIT OURSELVES TO HIM COMPLETELY IN YAHWEH MIGHTY NAME IN YESHUA MIGHTY NAME IN ELOHIM MIGHTY NAME AMEN ABBA WE KNOW YOU HEAR OUR HEARTS CRYING OUT TO YOU I DECREE AND DECLARE PSALM 119 OVER ME AND MY SISTER IN CHRIST RIGHT NOW I PLEAD THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF THE LAMB OVER OUR CHILDREN FROM THE CROWNS OF THEIR HEADS TO THE SOLES OF THEIR FEET IN YESHUA MIGHTY NAME AMEN

Yes and Amen I just came out of a test where my loyalties to God were tested I thank Him that I passed the test.
