“Why is the LORD bringing us into this land, to fall by the sword? Our wives and our little ones will become a prey. Would it not be better for us to go back to Egypt?” And they said to one another, “Let us choose a leader and go back to Egypt” Numbers 14:3-4, ESV.
Slavery in Egypt seemed far better to the Israelites than having to rely on God in the wilderness. At their breaking point they preferred slavery and stability over freedom and uncertainty.
No matter how desperate your financial state is right now, don’t go back to bondage.
You may be at your breaking point and are tempted to go back to the place God delivered you from because you see no other way, but hear the word of the Lord today: “There’s nothing for you in those old places where I delivered you. Don’t go back to bondage. Hold fast to My promise. If you hold on for a little while longer, I will make a way out of no way for you and your family. If you will obey Me and follow My ways, I will help you reach your place of promise. I will supply all your need according to My riches in glory in Christ Jesus. I am Jehovah-jireh your provider and I will keep My promise to you.”
Prayer: Father God, thank You for speaking directly to my heart. Help me not to go back to my old ways. Help me stick to Your way of doing things even though it’s a tremendous sacrifice. I know You didn’t bring me this far to leave me. I know You are with me and will supply all my needs. Help me Lord to serve You and not money. Help me move forward and trust You with everything in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Right on time! I just woke up feeling sick about my finances and how I was going to build my clientele. I know to trust in God but it was getting a little shaky for me. All 3 accounts have less that 45¢ and I wanted to cry. This spoke directly to my heart. I will hold on to His promises and stand firm on His Word.

Heavenly Father, I pray that as Britt trusts and follows Your guiding that Isaiah 43:19 comes alive in her life. Lord multiply those cents in ways that she never could conceive in her mind. Let a new thing spring forth. In Jesus name. Amen

Thank you GOD for the conformation on last Wednesday our Apostle taught on trust the LORD FOR everything that You would supply all of my needs,so going back to bondage that real dark place is not an option i need to just trust with my heart, not just with my mouth and believe your word.

I did not want to read today’s devotion. This last half of the year has bn full of financial pain. I my desperation i went back to bondage. My heart is in pain and i only ask God to heal me and forgive me. Through this wilderness may he not forget me.
This morning, my phone had the title to this Devotional TWICE on my screen! That never happens. It was as if God was emphasizing “Don’t go back to bondage!!” I got the message loud and clear, thank you!

Like alot of you, this spoke to my heart when I needed it most. It’s been a rough year and the holidays are always rough. This devotion brought me back to my place if peace and reminded me to stay the course!! God is great, and only HE can deliver me from my suffering!
