Encourage that man.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” Proverbs 3:5-6, NLT.

One day as I sat there looking at my husband, I saw him trying to figure things out. He was hopeful and thankful, yes, but I could feel his heart wanted more for his family. He wanted desperately to please God and to be in God’s perfect will. Instead of talking any further with him, God had me sit and listen to him. I sat there and let him express his whole heart without interruption and he went on to sleep. Later in the night the Lord woke me up to pray. I prayed for him from my heart and knew that God was working. Hours later, my husband walks in, determined and focused. Ready to face the day.

My sister, it takes wisdom from God to be a wife in the 21st century. We have to know when to speak, when to move and when to simply shut up and go to God in prayer. You can encourage a man by listening to him. You will watch as he talks he will encourage his own self. Or you can encourage him by looking him in the eyes and declaring God’s truth about him. Or more importantly, you can go to the One who made him, and ask God to bless him. God will bless him with a peace that surpasses all understanding. He can give him one word that can revolutionize his thinking. He can put a fire under him and get him moving in his purpose. He can give him a God-idea that can put you guys on top financially, but all of this comes by flowing with God. As a wife, trust in the Lord. Trust that as you pray and love him, that God will give him the strength, encouragement and comfort he needs.

Prayer: Father God, I pray you bless my husband. Give him a peace that surpasses understanding. Help him trust you with all of His heart. Help him hear your loving voice in his ear, reminding him of your unconditional love and favor. Lead him and guide him Lord. Order his steps. I plead the blood of Jesus over him. In Jesus name, Amen.

  5. So true that we’re to encourage our men!!! I don’t have a husband anymore, but I do have a son, grandson, brothers, nephews, and uncle’s. My Dad passed earlier this year, but I do understand about marriage because I was married before with the work it takes with wisdom, honesty, commitment, as well as being a good listener and more. I do encourage the men in my life to help build them up. To let them know that they can do all thing through Jesus Christ which strengthens them. There’s a king that lives inside of them, and their Sons of the “Risen King!’ Knowing when to speak and not when to speak and have a ear and a shoulder to cry showing them I’m a safe place, and will love them when their strong and weak. Letting them know as long as The LORD gives me breath they can always come to me for being a part of their support system here on earth. I’m so loving how I want to be “LOVED!” ❀️❀️❀️

Sister Kesha, this is a great devotional of wisdom teaching the younger women and those dealing with husbands that doesn’t go to church of how to love their husbands and to pray for and over them. To sanctify them because of being with godly women. God bless πŸ’•πŸ’πŸ’œπŸ’•πŸ’πŸ’œ

  6. Thank you. Same thing just happened with me now. I just finished praying for mine before seeing the devotional. God is indeed here. Lord, please bless my husband. I can’t be in his life and he is struggling. I am a light Lord. Let your light shine in and through him. Cause him to excel Lord. Just help him Lord.
