God’s Fallen Soldiers

“Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted” Galatians 6:1, ESV.

One morning God gave me a vision of a large concrete slab that had fallen to the ground. I went and lifted up the heavy object, bringing it back to its’ feet, while tears poured down my face. The slab was fallen leaders. Through their pride, they fell, but through the love of their brothers and sisters in Christ, they will stand again. God loves His people, and even when we fall, He knows how to restore us to our original place in Him.

In this time, great men and women of God are falling down like concrete slabs onto the earth. It’s creating a loud noise and it is shaking the faith of many people. But I hear the word of the Lord saying, “Don’t point your finger. Run to their side and help them stand. Restore them in love because it could be you.” Somewhere along the way, they got off track. Somewhere along the way, their hearts turned away from God to desiring other things. Somewhere along the way they grew tired and fell prey to sin. Somewhere along the way they lost sight of who they were and lost the vision God had given them. The ones who suffer most are those that followed them. They are scattered and are turned off from the things of God.

Let your relationship with God be so established that when great men and women of God disappoint you, it won’t shake your faith. As you follow Jesus, you will continue to grow and do the works He created you to do. As you keep your mind stayed on Him, He will keep you in His perfect peace.

Pray for God’s fallen leaders. Pray for His wounded soldiers. In a spirit of love and humility, run to their side and help lift them up to their feet again.

Prayer: Father God, I pray for leaders everywhere. I pray, Lord, that you will cover them under the precious blood of Jesus. Help them stand. Heal their wounds. When they experience failure, don’t let it go to their heart. When they experience success, don’t let it go to their heads. Help them stay humble before you. Minister to the core of who they are and remind them of the vision you gave them when they first started. Turn their hearts back to you and give them a spirit of wisdom and revelation. I pray you fill them with your Holy Spirit and set them on fire for you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
