Great news! You are growing!

“Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.” Ephesians 4:15, New Living Translation.

I believe we are in a season of growth and maturity in the Body of Christ. God is perfecting His people. We are learning how to walk in His love, how to apply our faith, how to see with our spiritual eyes and hear with our spiritual ears. We are learning how to live wisely, how to win the lost with compassion, and how to suffer and lay our lives down for Him. We are going through a pruning process and are seeing beautiful growth in our lives. It is a true blessing to grow in Christ. No matter if it’s an inch of progress, be glad you are growing.

Even when you default to old ways, just ask God’s forgiveness and keep on going. The enemy would love for you to stop, but don’t give him the satisfaction. “Keep on growing in Me”, the Spirit of God says. “My rewards are great when you let Me prune you, when you let Me mature you and make you wiser than you ever imagined you’d be.”

Prayer: My Father, I am excited about the growth track you have me on. You are a wonderful God! Keep on pruning me, keep on maturing me and helping me grow in Christ. I thank you for helping me get better and better everyday. When I feel I haven’t moved an inch, help me Lord to stay encouraged. Open my eyes to see what you’ve accomplished in me so far. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  11. I am reading Peter Walker’s Complex PTSD and the Fawn/Codependent description is insightful but painful. I want to no longer be controlled by fear, but to live in the joy of the love of God. It is encouraging that as I read the book I realize that I have recovered a lot from the experiences of my childhood. I can get discouraged that as I realize I still have recovery to do. But through it all I see how well God has taken care of me. How well I have been loved. How blessed I have been in each step of my growth.

  12. What a friend I have in Jesus…. Thank you again for your enriching balm. I am grateful that you pour out your soul with the love of God. May you continue to hear & write from The Master. Blessings unto you. I felt every word written.
