Every time God has asked me to let go of one thing, it’s been because He had something better waiting for me up ahead. God would try to help me see and give me signals. He would tell me, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” But I would allow fear and doubt to cloud my vison and block my ears. Thank God over the years, I have learned to trust Him. I have learned to let Him help me let go of the past and move forward in faith.
My sister, before you can lay hold of new things God wants to do in your life, you have to let go of the old things. It is truly a test of your faith, I know, but I believe you will move forward in faith and you will not shrink back in fear. No, not this time. You’ve seen how failing to trust God robs you of His best for your life. You’re going to trust that He loves you, you’re going to trust that He’s good, and you’re going to trust He has your best in mind. You know deep in your heart what the Lord has been asking you to let go of. You’re going to let it go with His help, and embrace the new that’s waiting for you up ahead!
Prayer: Father, forgive me for the times that you’ve wanted to do a “new thing” in my life, and I’ve failed to cooperate with you. Today, I ask that you reveal to me those things that you want me to let go of at this time. Thank you for giving me the faith I need to move into the bigger and brighter things that you have planned for me! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thank-you for this reminder! I have a job interview today. This devotional thought reminds me that when God opens a door to a better opportunity, I need to walk through that door in faith instead of close it!
I struggle with letting go of the past. I needed this reminder sometimes the hurt from the past is triggered by something familiar. And I stumble . If I could get prayer to help me remember God has renewed my struggles for a better way I just have to embrace it

I confuse that I had let my wants determine what was best for me. As if I knew better than God. Despite the exhaustion to keep it alive I held in thinking it was faith and grace over the situations. I was determined not to look like a failure or someone who quick’s when things get hard. God had to allow me to be so uncomfortable with the situation that it undeniable that it was over. I could no longer see it as good for me or what, who I thought it to be.
Now, I see it… now I have the courage to tap into my WALK AWAY POWER. This verse is the word I will stand on every time fear or doubt or memories flood my thoughts.
There is something better up ahead. It might hurt in transition to better. But, That’s why I trust Him.
