Loneliness is painful, and because of it, we stay with someone not because he’s a great guy or she’s a great friend but because they are available. Loneliness can have us reasoning that the relationship is not that bad, or that no one will ever really fit us perfectly. Loneliness can have us afraid to believe that God can and will bless us with that special someone we need, want, and deserve. My sister, deep in our hearts, we know the Lord is with us, but sometimes knowing He is with us doesn’t fill the void. We must go beyond knowing to letting Him love us and be our faithful friend. He has been with us in every season, my sister, and in every moment of life. He has touched our hearts and our minds, and now He is coming through for us again. He is growing us up to where we don’t have to feel Him to know He is with us, but until we get that place, He wraps us in His arms filling every void with His love and with His Spirit. Now, that’s a friend.

The best friend we could ever have…… Sometimes we do try and fill the voids in our lives with people and things…that still leave us feeling empty and unfulfilled.
