Let Him direct you as you wait.

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil” Proverbs 3:5-7, ESV.

Without God we can’t do anything, but with Him nothing’s impossible. Amen. Humility is living with an understanding of who God is and who we’re not. God wants to lead us and guide our decisions. Not because He has an issue with control. He wants to lead us to His perfect will for our lives. He wants us to experience His grace and His goodness.

Life has been unecesserily hard for so many of us for a long time, and when we think about it, we have to examine if we’ve truly been seeking the Lord for His wisdom and waiting for an answer, or leaning to our own understanding and doing what seems right. If we’re honest, we will admit the truth. We have not been waiting on Him. We may pray and say, “Lord, what do you want me to do?” And when we get silence, we say, “Well! That’s my answer! Do what I want and go where I please.” God’s silence doesn’t mean He’s giving us permission.

Silence means to wait.

God wants to guide us, and direct our paths as He promised He would. Just because He shows us a glimpse of His plan for our lives, doesn’t mean He wants us to go now, act now, do it now. He guides us with His Word and through His Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of peace.

Don’t be lazy when it come to waiting on the Lord’s direction. Don’t think that you’re so wise that you can guide your own life. See your constant need for His leading. Get alone with the Lord and say, like Jacob, “I’m not letting you go Lord until you bless me with wisdom and direction. I’m not leaving until you show me exactly what you want me to do and when! Because I want to be in your perfect will, I’m waiting to hear from you my God!”

“The LORD is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. ” Lamentation 3:25, ESV.

(As you read this, don’t think this is for someone else. This is for you.)

    1. AMEN!! God often tells us to wait & THAT’S the hard part. So, what do we do while we are waiting???? PRAISE HIM IN THE STORM!!! WORSHIP HIM for WHO HE IS! Praise confuses the enemy & strengthens & encourages us at the same time. God says, “BE STILL & KNOW I AM GOD”. So, we rest in His presence & trust His Sovereignty that He will do what He says & ALL things will work together for us who love the Lord– IN HIS WAY & IN HIS TIME. His will WILL be done.
WE MUST WAIT, TRUST & OBEY. Not easy; but, definitely worth it.

  8. My sister sent me this message today. I am on the verge of breaking down.
I been trying to hold on but it seems like i am trapped with no way out. And just surrounded by brick walls.
My husband recently had an affair and has another baby by another woman. Its been five years since we been together. And i keep bearing the hurt praying things would be different but nothing changes. We have a. 3 year old son and i am pregnant with our second child. And he also raises my 8 year old daughter. But after all these years he still curses and screams at me. He has no respect for me and i am miserable being married to him. I keep thinking about my two sons and daughter not having there dad. And he wants to me to accept his daughter but i cant. From things i am seeing he is still being deceitful and denied me having his child to the other woman. Sometimes i feel he has no consciense and does not want to change. He sends money for his child.and he has a place to live and myself and my children are homeless with no where to go
My parents look down on me and turn they back on me. And i feel all alone to the point where im thinking of giving my children up for adoption because i cant provide a home for them and i dont have much to offer them. I feel so lost in this world.i have made so many bad decisions and i feel like im paying for it. When i ask my husband to help get us an apartment he says he has to send the woman money for his daughter. And he is in debt from child support. And he saves more where he is.
I have no where to turn. And im still struggling to go back to my job because im almost 7 months. We are in an out of the shelter . and i dont know how much more i can bare. It breaks my heart and is breaking me down mentally looking at my children everyday knowing they are not stable. Sometimes i have to go without food to make sure they eat. And i feel like i am an unfit mother they should not suffer because of my poor choices they deserve a better life
