Months ago, my husband and I had a few trees cut down in our backyard to give our children more space to play. I pictured a beautiful plush yard that my kids would enjoy playing in, but so far, the only thing that’s playing back there are squirrels.
What do you do when your life is not what you envisioned it would be? When the vision God gave you seems like the complete opposite of what your life is right now. My sister, we stay with the vision! A little progress is better than no progress at all.
Nehemiah was given the task of rebuilding Jerusalem’s wall. He set out to accomplish this huge task with people fighting against him on the left and people doubting him on the right, but he stayed with the vision God gave him of a rebuilt wall, and God was with him. Your Father is not just waiting for you to finish. He’s with you right now in the mess, in the battle, in the thick of it, and He will see you through to victory!
Prayer: Father, thank you for the vision you gave me of a thriving and full life. When my life doesn’t look like the vision you gave me, help me stay with it. Your purpose and plan hasn’t changed. What you’ve envisioned for me hasn’t changed. Help me continue to move forward by your grace, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

LORD JESUS, I need You to guide my mind to the vision….. I am so far away….. I confess JESUS as my LORD; know the KING of Kings to be my Father, and yet I can not recall a vision to have been given to me….. Though I pray, seeking GOD’s kingdom and His righteousness, sharing my hope in CHRIST, I feel so far away… LORD, help me… LORD, save me.
Thank you for this devotional. I am one that cannot see my visions of life ever coming to past. After reading this, I am encouraged that it is not over until the Lord says so it reminds me to keep pushing through while trusting In the Lord things can change at a twinkling of an eye. I’ve been stuck in my head. I’m grateful God has an amazing plan for me.
Father, thank You for encouraging to press on!! You are the Author and Finisher of my faith and You wrote my story knowing the beginning, middle, to end. I will continue to put on Your “whole armor”, therefore I will stand because You are with me. I know I can do nothing without You. It’s You, Father, that strengthens me. I don’t count myself to have apprehended either, but I know all things are possible with You. And, Lord, I’m going to trust You, believe You, and have faith in You, because You have a plan and purpose in the earth that You ordained for me to make that difference when You was forming me. Father, by Your grace help me to become the person You have called me to be. In The Name of Jesus. May I hear Your voice and take heed to do Your will immediately. ❤️❤️❤️
