The arms of a woman.

“This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth” 1 John 1:5-6, New American Standard Bible.

The arms of a woman were designed to pull you up from your lowest place, help you along your way, hug you when you need comfort, but never to be a lover’s embrace for you, my sister. Some of you have suffered much and have been abused at the hands of a man who was supposed to help protect you. Some of you long for affection from your husband, and the enemy has turned a pure desire for love into a perverted pursuit for women. Then there are those whose desire does not come from an abusive past or a life void of love and affection; you simply wanted her.

This devotional may not be for everyone, but it is for someone. What do you do when you find yourself wanting to be with a woman? How do you reach inside and turn that desire off? The first thing you must understand is apart from God; you can do nothing (see John 15:5). The Lord is the one who works in us the will and to do of His good pleasure (see Philippians 2:13). He gives us the strength to resist every craving of our bodies and reject every false identity.

Just as God said, “Let there be light!” and there was light that dispelled all darkness, Jesus is powerful Light, and He will dispel all darkness from our lives. You will give Him real access into your life, and He will flood you with His love and with His light. You will begin to see God as He is, you will see yourself as He sees you, and you will see the enemy for the deceiver he is.

The enemy wants you to stay bound so that you will not experience the true freedom Jesus purchased for you to walk in. But, my sister, today is your day to be free through the power of Jesus. Today, you will receive His mercy that washes you and makes you clean. You will receive His free grace that will empower you to overcome all sexual sin. You will live out God’s true design for your life.

Prayer: Father God, it’s no secret to you what my inner struggles are. I am helpless, and I need you like I’ve never needed you before. Forgive me for every sin I’ve committed. Change my heart. Change my desires. Change my life. Flood me with your light and remove even the memory of sinful pleasure, remove the taste from my mouth. I denounce the spirit of lust and sexual perversion, and I yield my spirit, soul, and body to you and you alone. Wash me and purify me. Be glorified in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

    1. God is more powerful than I imagined. I wrote this, this morning, “I was crying because I wanted to feel him(a man), I was crying because it felt so good, I was crying because I was hurting God.”

How do you have so many feelings and emotions at one time?

And God lead me here this Saturday morning after I cried out to him for guidance and clarity.” Thank you Jesus!!

  7. In this hour, we must all face and renounce the sins that we each struggle with. Thank you for this powerful decree and declaration over our sisters friends and family who are struggling in this area. We are reminded to restore in a spirit of meekness which was beautifully conveyed in your message. Receive healing and deliverance in Jesus name. We rejoice in advance for the freedom which is yours if you receive this loving message and turn to the Lover of your soul… Jesus Christ!
