The Name works!

“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name” Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭9‬, ‭NKJV‬‬.

“And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name” Luke 10:17, NKJV.

One Sunday morning, I visited a small church in a small town. There weren’t a lot of people present. They had pews, no chairs. Their microphones and instruments weren’t the best. The choir didn’t sound like they had won an award. Yet, from a sincere heart, they began to call on the name of Jesus, and God’s presence filled the place, and He moved in a mighty way.

No matter where you are, whether at home or in prison, in your car, facing a challenge, discouraged, sick, have a need, or alone, the name works. The name saves! The name empowers. The name delivers. Call on the mighty name of Jesus! His name is so powerful, you can call His name where you are in prayer, and it will work for someone overseas. There is something about the name of Jesus. When you don’t know what to say or do, call on the Name.

Prayer: Father, I thank you that the name of Jesus works. From a real place, I call on your name right now. Jesus! Demons tremble at your name. Your name heals, strengthens, and saves. Help me today. Thank you, Jesus, that I can call on you, and you do what you said you would do! There’s nothing like your great name. In your mighty name, I pray, Amen!

“And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” John 14:13

  2. That was beautiful pastor Trippet. I am really getting a lot from all the devotions lately, and forwarding my favorites to my college daughter and a few of her friends. Very powerful is the name of Jesus.

  4. Amen. To the Mighty Name of Jesus. Reading today’s devotion takes me back to a scene in the movie The Lion King, where Simba & Nala were trapped by the hyenas, and in his small but determined might he roared at them and the hyenas laughed because of the frailty of his might. The begged him to try again… long story short….And oh boy His daddy’s roar came through instead…the hyenas TREMBLED at the very sound of the roar. (before they new it was Mufasah). I can’t begin to tell you how powerful that scene was for me when I FIRST heard and saw it. It testified to me of how POWERFUL the might of the bane of Jesus’s name is at the very mention of the Name of Jesus….we can whisper, call, even ROAR the very name of JESUS at any situation, and watch how the circumstances of your situation begins to change. Maybe not at that very moment but it will because of the MIGHT of His name we don’t have to be intimidated about any situation we come up against.

Bless the Lord glory to God, thank you for all the love that you have shared, father God you have been so good to all of us all across the global world, in spite of what things may look like we give you glory and honor in the mighty name of Jesus praise God is going to be a great week I declared in the name of Jesus God is good all the time his love continues to flow all around us each and every day praise God in the name of Jesus Amen 🙌🏾🙏🏾♥️
