“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light” Matthew 11:28-30, Berean Study Bible.
One morning I woke up and began to pray. After a few thank you, Lord, for this and that, God did what He always does. He wanted to know what was really going on with me. I said Father, my mind feels all cluttered and burdened down. I need you to lift all of this off of me. A few minutes later, I began to sing, and my singing turned into worship and praise, and just like that, all of the burdens and heaviness I was feeling were completely gone. God answered my prayer.
This is the benefit of getting real with God in prayer. It makes no sense for us to come to God and leave His presence still weighed down with the responsibilities of life and carrying everything. So He calls to us to come to Him, not just to thank Him, not just to tell Him how powerful and mighty He is, but to receive the rest Jesus came to give us.
My sister, the Lord cares about you, and He wants to give you rest in eternity and rest in your life right now. Not a power nap, but sweet rest in your soul, which is your mind, will, and your emotions. He is calling us to a divine rest that is not just for a moment but for life. How we receive this is by coming to Him and being real with Him. We will leave His presence lighter and at peace.
Prayer: Father, I come to you, and I ask that you lift these burdens off of my mind. I feel weighed down, and I give it to you. Thank you for putting a song in my heart to sing. Thank you for reminding me that you care about me. You are calling me to live in your divine and sweet rest. I receive and accept your call. I give everything I am to you. All I’ve been carrying, you can take it from here. I trust you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Glory to God for this mighty word of encouragement and peace! I truly needed to see this, read it, feed my spirit with it, and digest it.
The enemy has been coming after my mind and heart for 10 years of warfare through my ex-husband and over the past two weeks he has been going deeper and lower with the blows yet I maintain my faith and trust in God to perform the miracles and wonders of healing through the heart of my ex. While I see that he is tormented mentally, emotionally, and spiritually by the enemy… I will not allow that same terror and torment to plague my children or myself any longer. The joy of the Lord is my strength! My eyes, mind, heart, and soul is anchored and fixed on the Kingdom of God and the reign He has called me to rest in. Whatever is coming against us, is coming to nothing in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus!
I so love each of my dear sisters and this incredible ministry and community of DOTK! To God be all the glory!

Thank you Father that I can come to you with everything that weighs me down, and you will truly replace my worries my fears my insecurities, my sadness, my frustrations, with your peace that surpasses ALL understanding, with joy in my heart, with strength in my mind knowing that You have my family and I in Your hands. I trust you with my life and with my family’s lives. You are forever worthy of my highest praise. I love you Father God.

Father, I thank You for as I come to You in prayer. As for me I watch in hope for You, LORD, I want for God my Savior; my God will hear me. To be confident in I cast all my cares and concerns on You, it’s because You care for me. Knowing that as I come to You, You will come to me and You will not leave me comfortless!!!
