“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Romans 8:14
Early this morning the LORD began to deal with me about shifts and changes. Holy Spirit has taught me how to sense His move like some people can smell rain. I asked Him what change is coming for Daughters of the King and He said to me, I have used you to “root out, to pull down, to destroy and to throw down” the works of the enemy in people’s lives through the Live Morning Prayer, and now it is time to plant (see Jeremiah 1:10). So I went into my prayer closet and began to pray in the Holy Ghost, and while praying the LORD began to show me that my assignment in your life has changed. Just as He has graced me to stand with many you in prayer each morning, He is now gracing me abundantly to teach His Word and to plant His Word into your hearts. Because of the power of prayer, your hearts are now fertile ground and ready to receive His truth so that you can produce visible results in your life.
So what does this mean?
Today was the last day of Daughters of the King Live Morning Prayer. The LORD is leading me, however, to continue with DOTK Live on Sundays at 7pm Eastern Standard Time, but instead of praying with you, He wants me to teach His Word and give understanding.
Our devotionals will continue to be released everyday and we will move forward into new levels of grace and glory! Although I will greatly miss praying with you each morning, I’m so very excited about God’s next adventure for us!
I believe it is necessary that we learn how to move when God says move, shift when He says to shift and welcome change because we know in our hearts that He is good and He only has good in store for us. In the Old Testament, whenever the glory cloud lifted off of the sacred tent, the people of Israel would break down their camps and follow it. Where ever God’s glory settled down, they would also settle down (see Numbers 9:17).
How does this apply to you and I? God wants us to move when He moves and shift when He shifts. You may not like moving, but the effects of not moving with Him are too costly. We must grow in our sensitivity to the LORD. The more time you spend in God’s presence, the more His Holy Spirit will develop your spiritual senses and make you able to sense His leading, His changes in course and His move with optimum sensitivity just as you can sense when it’s about to rain.
Let’s pray…Father God, I ask that you teach me how to sense when you’re moving and shifting me into something new. Show me if I’m where I need to be and if I’m doing what you want me to do. If I’m off in any area, help me LORD to hear and obey you. Help me learn how to move with you and remain in step with you. More than anything, I want to please you and follow you. Guide me LORD and be the chief shepherd of my soul. I trust you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
