Beauty for Ashes

“To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.” Isaiah 61:3

My sister, for every negative experience intended to destroy you, God is taking it and making all things new for you. He is giving you beauty for ashes. He is enriching you and making your life beautiful and better than before. He is removing the spirit of heaviness at the core and blessing you with a garment of sincere praise. Your days of mourning are coming to an end. The Lord is giving you His precious oil of joy and radiance. He is firmly planting your feet in your knowledge of Him. Everyone who saw your demise will say, β€œLook! She is no longer the unstable woman I remember blown here and there by the slightest wind of opposition. No, she is an unmovable tree of righteousness now, and God is her mighty strength!” You will not receive the lies of the enemy. You will receive the truth of God’s word. Everything He says about you is true. You are the planting of the Lord. You are a daughter of the King. You will fulfill His divine purpose and plan. Jesus overcame and so will you. You will finish your course with joy. Out of your belly will flow rivers of living water. Everything the enemy meant for your bad, God is turning it around for your good and His glory. You will see the goodness of God in the land of the living and you will greatly rejoice!

Prayer: Hallelujah! Father, I receive your words in the depths of my heart. Thank you for your rich encouragement to my soul. I love you with everything in me. Be glorified in my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

  7. Thank you for the devotionals you do. Most days they are just what I needed. Living with an unsaved husband can be and is trying at times. So your devotional is just a reminder that God is there and is still mindful. God bless you.

  9. Taking care of my 78 yr. old mother with late stage dementia and seeing her decline and my 92 yr old dad who is blind with health issues has my spirit grieving and sad.. My heart is heavy and at times my tears flow. Reading this at this time when I felt hope vanishing away, has once again given me something to look forward to. Thank you for those words of encouragement. Amen!

  10. A year ago today my family and I lost our home in a tragic house fire. No humans were lost, Thank you Jesus, but we did lose 5 of our beloved dogs. I knew the enemy was coming for my family. An intrusive thought came to me the day before, saying “The enemy going to try and kill your family, pray daughter. ” and so I prayed…hard. That night we lost all we owned and watched as it all went up in flames. The cause of the fire is unknown, but the first responders said they saw 4 large dogs running from our property during the fire. They were not our dogs, because most of them died in the fire. Only 3 survived and 2 were puppies that were rescued by firefighters. The other was one our male husky, who managed to escape from an open window. The rest of our pack did not survive. I know it was the enemy. I’ve spent the majority of the year being homeless. It has been a long road. But material wise, everything has been restored. I am still working on restoring myself, better yet, allowing Christ to restore me. I fail a lot. I struggle mentally every day. Jesus is my rock. He is the only one who can help me. My salvation, my healer, my helper, my friend, my everything. He has ministered to me through this app so many times. Today, He did it again and I am so very grateful and thankful.

  11. For the last few weeks, it has been like every devotional was written just for me but today’s is just so powerful in a different way.
In the course of the last month, I bet a series of supernatural events happen, though I didn’t realize they were supernatural events help me put a piece together and how they related to my husband in heaven.
And it brought on the big, ugly, snotty nose type of crying and He held me and listened to me and this morning I woke up with peace, so MUCH PEACE and JOY like never before.
It is so mind boggling what God did and does in my life!
    He is so awesome!

  12. Thank You, Jesus! Thank You for confirming that what I’ve been experiencing for months will come to an end soon. Beauty for ashes!! Joy evermore! A new way of approaching turmoil, trials, and uncertainties. I know I am not exempt from them, but I’m learning to surrender and say, β€œHere, Lord, take it!” The Holy Spirit has been intervening lately and I will continue to not block Him! Thank You, Lord! πŸ™πŸΎβ™₯️
