Go and Get the Spoils

“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” Proverbs 4:7

Whenever the people of Israel won a battle, they would go back and get the spoils. Sometimes it took more than one trip. My sister, the battles you faced are loaded with spoils! They are loaded with wisdom and understanding to enrich your life! Don’t rush to get past it; don’t be in a hurry to get on with your life. God provides valuable insight from everything we endure, every mountain we face, and the wisdom we receive enriches us. I know it hurts to revisit it, but God will help you go there and give glory to His name. The wisdom you gain isn’t just for you, but for those He has called you to reach.

Prayer: Father, thank you for bringing me through every test and trial in my life. You are good and faithful! Help me not to rush to move on but to learn every nugget of wisdom you have for me to get from it. Thank you for enriching me through everything I face. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  1. Thank you for this timely word. I receive.

I also agree with your decision to not have writers for this your daily devotions.

I do not come to your site daily, so I did not know about the decision for additional writers.

I read a few and I immediately knew when the devotional was written by you. You are anointed for this specific devotional.

I cannot recall, but last year you had made another decision regarding this ministry and you wrote to let us know it was not the right decision. I remember agreeing with you then too.

    Thank you for your vulnerability.

  4. Father, thank you for using this ministry to bless so many women. It’s often said this measage was for me, and today I must step into that line. I am experiencing a very challenging time at work. This word today is telling me to be still and learn, something one of my friends just said to me Saturday. “Be still, see what this is teaching you about you, and what you need to do to grow.” When a threat comes your way you either freeze, fight or take flight. This may be a time for me to simply be still. Love to you and the team.
