God will greatly deliver you.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11

Elijah didn’t stay in the cave. Daniel didn’t stay in the pit with the lions. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego didn’t stay in the fire. Lazarus didn’t stay in the tomb. Joseph didn’t stay in the prison. The people of Israel didn’t stay in Egypt. In all of these instances, God delivered them out of these places they found themselves in. My sister, God will greatly deliver you. If the Lord had an expected end for Elijah, for Daniel, for Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, for Lazarus and all of the people of Israel, He has an expected end for you.

You’re not pitching your tent in the fire. You’re not making your bed and lying in your mistake. You’re not getting comfortable in the cave. You’re not getting so acquainted with the den you’ve been thrown into that the lions become your new family. No, no, no! These are temporary situations, and they are still temporary, even if you’ve been there for a long time. God has never and will never give up on you, and the important thing is for you to never give up on yourself. God will do exceeding, abundantly, above all that you can ask or think according to His power working in you. He’s going to greatly deliver you. God loves you enough to meet you where you are, and He loves you too much to let you stay where you are.

Prayer: Father, I praise you. You are my great deliverer. I pray you rescue me and bless me to reach your expected end. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  1. Thank you for this devotional. Recently, I cried out to God and told Him that; “I am giving up on myself”. Today’s devotional is very eye opening and encouraging. No matter what, I am choosing to have confidence in the power of God me.

  2. Through the years I’ve often meditated on Jeremiah 29:11-13 but hadn’t seen this aspect of it. So thankful it came today, I need this word so much. I am in a mess, really more than one but also thankful that I’m not going to stay in these messes. God promised me the victory! Somewhere in this is His path of righteousness so I can walk right out of these messes. Praise God!

  3. Praise the Lord! God’s Word does not return back to Him void…NOPE…What He says He will do, He will surely do., Hallelujah! He will not have His children be ashamed….Our Great God is Ever So Faithful!!! We are called to Pray, Trust, Endure, Persevere, and to Wait Upon Him with assured expectation!

  4. Thank you so much. I felt like giving up. I feel like I can’t take it anymore but God is keeping me so I will not let go. This devotional encourages me in my time of need. The Lord will get the Glory out of my life. Blessings, Shalom and Agape 👀🙏🏽♥️📖🙌🏽
