God will help you rise above it all!

“For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others…” Matthew 20:28, NLT

I’ll never forget when my dear friend lost her son years ago. It was their first child and he was three months old. As soon as we received the heartbreaking news, we jumped into our car and drove three hours to comfort her, along with all of her family and friends.

A month later, I called and asked her how she was doing. She said, “I’m just looking for opportunities to share Jesus with others.” I’ll never forget that moment. I was standing in the grocery store and tears began to run down my face because my beautiful friend, who had every right to be bitter and angry with God, was looking for ways to win people to Him. That showed me that Jesus certainly lives within her because no one can respond in that manner and not have a real relationship with the Father.

In life, we all experience circumstances that completely devastate us. However, just as my friend’s faithfulness to God encouraged me and created a memory that I’ll never forget, our faithfulness to God can encourage those around us. Don’t turn away from Him; turn to Him. Don’t stop being a blessing. Don’t stop telling others about Jesus; witness all the more. It will show that Jesus truly lives within you and you certainly have a real relationship with the Father that cannot be taken away from you.

Prayer: Father God, thank you for speaking to my heart. No matter what I go through in life, help me to turn to you and not against you. Help me Lord to never stop serving you. Even in the midst of my circumstances, help me to rise above it all and keep my heart set on you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

In memory of Jonathan William Martin.

  7. Father, thank You, for helping me rise above it all. This scripture hits home when life happens. I remind myself of it because it keeps me grounded with my thinking and my behavior. Because, He came meek and lowly, putting Himself as a servant. What makes me think that I don’t have to do the same as His child.? This is why His Word is so valuable for my to apply it to my life so I can be triumphant and rise above all circumstances. By His Word, He is showing me how to live life more abundantly. Thank You, Father, for being Enough in everything we need to finish well.🔥🔥🙏
