“He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying,’ “The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and the third day rise again” Luke 24:6-7, NKJV.
He is risen, yes indeed. The One who once hung on a tree. Offering Himself up as a sacrifice. Bringing us from death into eternal life. The cumbersome Cross He carried that day, will always guide and show us the Way. Not a word did He speak as He got brutally beat. People mocked and stared on both sides of the street. For Jesus knew the end would shortly come. The cross He bore would soon become….a ray of hope for all mankind. The final debt was paid in full that day. Many who loved Him wept and prayed. They saw no promise with Jesus in the tomb. Disappointment came; they thought they were doomed. Then on the third day He was no where to be found. The time had come to take up His crown. The victory He now holds in Heaven above, to rule over the nations with authority and love. JESUS CHRIST……our Savior, our King; our Living Hope, our Everything.
Prayer: Father God, I thank you for giving your Son, Jesus. I believe that He died for my sin and He rose on the third day. I believe He is alive today and I invite Him to come and live in me. I ask that you forgive me of all sin and wash me clean. Be my Lord. Just as you raised Jesus from the dead, raise me up to a new life in Christ. Save me and set me free. Show me how to live victoriously. Help me to boldly share the good news of your kingdom everywhere I go. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
