God is breathing life into you, my sister.

“So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being;” the last Adam a life-giving spirit.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭45‬, Berean Standard Bible‬‬

When man was formed from the dust of the ground, the Bible says, God breathed into his nostrils, and man became a living soul. When you study Holy Spirit, you discover words like breath, wind, and spirit. In recent days, I have come face-to-face with the shortcomings of those I love. I have been reminded that we are dust. In comforting my heart, the Lord reminded me that as the heavens are high above the Earth, so is His mercy towards us. As a father pities his children, so the Lord pities us. He remembers our frame, and that we are dust. But the thing about dust is the same man formed from dust, and breathed into by God Himself, becoming a living soul, is the same being breathed into today by the life-giving Spirit of God.

God breathed life into me, and He’s breathing life into you, my sister. He is breathing life into your husband. The Lord God, who is our resurrection and life, is breathing into your children. He is doing what you have not been able to do. Yes, your breath may can cool a spoon of hot soup, or make cold hands feel warm. But only our Father’s breath gets us back up on feet and moving again. Only His breath gives us power to walk in newness of life. The Lord remembers our frame, He knows and understands we are dust, and He is showing great mercy as high as the heavens. Breathing into you and into everything that is dear to you until you come alive and be filled with His Spirit!

Prayer: Father God, thank you for ministering deeply to my heart. Only you know how much I need your breath of life. Thank you for your mercy that you’ve shown towards me. Thank you for pitying me and those I love. Breathe into us your life-giving Spirit that causes us to walk in newness of life. My trust is in you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
