Hey my sisters…

Hey my sisters,

Last year I started a DOTK prayer team, and was so excited about being able to have ladies lead prayer and bless the DOTK family. God moved and it was awesome. From this prayer team, I became close friends with our sister, Marquita Cohen. It was a great blessing to talk with her and get to know eachother, however, the closer we got, the more afraid I felt. I feared she would abandon me so I abandoned her first. I left her while her and husband dealt with a major blow in their life. I focused on her shortcomings, and then, I tried to justify my behavior on DOTK lives. I was not a good friend, and I want to publicly apologize for the hurt I caused her. I am so sorry Marquita for not being the friend you deserve. There’s no excuse. None. I pray God heals the wounds I’ve caused.

I’m not doing this for attention, I’m so tired of having public victories but private friendship failures. God is not pleased with how I have treated His daughters. I’ve got a whole list of sisters I’ve not loved properly over the years, and enough is enough.

Praying for God to help His daughters love each other in a way that pleases Him. I pray He heals our hearts and delivers us from all our fears. I pray He helps us not just have public success but private success because that’s the only success that matters to God.

All my heart,

Kesha

  1. You’ve no idea how much I admire you. Your a true woman of God. Not a perfect woman of God (who is?), but definitely a true woman of God. πŸ’―

    1. Your character and fruit testifies that your a true woman of God. Not many would have the courage to admit wrong, humble oneself to save a relationship and then admit their wrongs publicly and be willing to grow. What a pure heart. You will see God in ways you’ve not before because blessed are the poor in spirit and the pure in heart, for they shall see God. You will come to know the Father in deeper ways as He reveals more of Himself to you and manifest Himself in the situations and circumstances of your life.

    2. I agree also. Always no matter whatcyoubdo be able to look yourself in the mirror. Because we all will be face yo face with God and have questions to answer from Him. I admire your truth Sis.

Do you know how rare you are to publicly apologize for something you feel you have done wrong my dear sister who has helped so many since you started this Devotional App. Daughters of the King! Speaking for myself there have been days and many moments when I was on the brink of giving up but the words spoke through from God Himself (I declare that in Jesus Mighty name) HAVE LITERALLY SAVED MY LIFE! You are INE THE FRIENDS THAT WILL BE COUNTED ON THE ONE HAND AT THE END OF SOMEONES LIFE THAT IS BLESSED. 3. I needed this.
I lost my best friend 5years ago and I’ve had problems finding friendship or even ones to support me like she did. I realized therea never going to be another her but, I’ve let myself be by myself because I don’t ever want to endure that again. I welcome many but, will close off and make false promises of me showing up knowing I’m not going to. I don’t know how to have friendships nomore honestly. I know what I would like to do but, It’s so hard to stand on any happiness for myself. I’m so scared to open up and live life. I’m 33 with a 11 and 9 yr old. I’ve became so focused on their lives that my life doesn’t leave no room to love any others other than family.

  4. Amen. Now that take courage
to acknowledge your shortcomings and asking the Lord and those you’ve hurt for forgiveness. When we do that the Holy Spirit helps us to do what we can’t and healing takes place in our heart. Thank you for sharing your testimony. May the Lord continue to heal your heart and set you free from your past hurts and in everyone hearts including mines. I need to repent bc I too run from sister’s in the Lord/ friends too. Lord forgive us and help us in Jesus name.

  6. Thanks for your courage ma’am, I truly appreciate your honesty, and humility may God continue to bless you and all the daughters that read your devotions.

  7. I’m speechless, you are always honest about your spiritual journey always stay encouraged Mighty Woman of God. When we overcome one thing then the Holyspirit shines the flashlight on another area God’s grace is sufficient for you. Your confession exposes the enemy and shows your transparency. I Agape Love you my sister in Christ Jesus continue to spread the gospel πŸ”₯πŸŒΉπŸ’œπŸ™‡πŸ½β€β™€οΈ

  8. I once heard a woman say when we make mistakes, they cause cracks in our armor; but God shines his light through those cracks, and he reveals his glory. The world doesn’t need fake perfect Christians; it needs to see real Christians. Remember, we’re not supposed to be perfect. If we were, we wouldn’t need Jesus.

  9. You are a woman after Gods own heart. It takes someone who values her relationship with God to be so transparent. This helps me to because I too have issues with relationships. I have been hurt so many times that I guard my heart. Thanks for sharing

  10. I am guilty of such sin myself God is so good we are sorry and may His love carry us through xoxo

  11. May the Lord go deep into Marquita Cohen heart and mend all the brokenness. May she read this devotional with gladness and this relationship as well as others be restored. For the Glory of God.

We all are a work in progress. I have fallen short too. Let it only be charged to our heads, not to our hearts. Mercy and Grace. Blessings, Shalom and Agape πŸ‘€πŸ™πŸ½β€οΈπŸ“–πŸ™ŒπŸ½

  12. I really admire your honesty and know that GOD is giving you his grace and mercy with your friend. The beauty of all of this, is that GOD already knew you would be here and that all of this was part of both of your journeys. So many times we are all operating from our childhood traumas. This is your opportunity to learn, grow and heal. I pray you and your friend reconnect and that your friendship becomes even stronger. We love you keisha and all that you do in Dotk! Be well my sister and forgive yourself.

  13. Thank you Kesha for your honesty and vulnerability. It is strength to admit our weaknesses, and only in Jesus can we face up to them in truth.
I would like to share a prayer that the Holy Spirit gave to me when I needed to forgive others as well as myself.

Father God, we all fail You at times, I bring before You all the people in my life who have impacted me negatively.
I ask You to bless each one of these ppl, who You know by name and the actions, behaviours, words that have taken place.
Father I lay all these words, accusations, and behaviours at Your feet and I ask You to remember them no more. I ask for Your will to be done over all our lives. I release them to You, I wish them no harm or I’ll intent and I pray they have happy, fulfilled, contented and blessed lives.
Father let all that is not of You fall away from me and only things that are true and correct remain. I ask for forgiveness for my own actions towards them that were were not Christ centred.
Thank You for Your grace, mercy and love. I ask for abundant blessings for all who impact our lives, past, present and future.
Father remind us of Your unfailing love and grace towards us and give us the same grace towards others. Thank You ABBA, it is in Jesus mighty name I pray.. Amen. πŸ™β€οΈπŸ™β€οΈπŸ™β€οΈπŸ™β€οΈπŸ™

May Gods richest blessings be with You now and always Kesha, you are a true blessing to all who read these devotionals. πŸ™πŸ€—πŸ™πŸ€—πŸ™πŸ€—

  14. We ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of GOD,
If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
As it is in accordance to GOD’S will may the friendship be restored, renewed.
All for the glory of GOD and for the good of others!
You are not alone, you are sharing your life publicly as we privately!
Thank you for sharing, grace abounds, πŸ’ž

  15. Thank you Kesha for your honest post.

I have been reading your devotionals for a while now and they have really been strengthening my journey with Christ.

Just a thought- hopefully you have done this already but if not, please consider having a prayerful private conversation with this person for both of your healing.

May God continue to bless and lead you. πŸ™πŸΌ

  16. As I read your post, the Spirit of God brought James 5:16 to my mind. Sis, it takes a lot of courage and humbleness to confess a fault especially publicly, I pray that God restores your friendship and heals all wounds. Thank you for your honesty and transparency, it helps and blesses so many of us.
May God’s abundant blessings rest on you.

  17. Ir literally blows my mind how spot on your devotions are for me EVERY DAY. This one is no different. It take Godly courage to admit we are wrong and to Apolo for it. Thank you for hearing God and being obedient.

  18. Keisha I just had to step away from a friend. Its not abandoning a friend. In battles like that it’s better to draw back and pray.Isaiah 58 Fasting can break the bonds of wickedness and break the yoke off others. Its hard to help somebody and listening to their words of despair , when going to that secret place and bringing HIM in the battle.Enemy will try to throw all kinds offense between two people. When he’s got one or both tangled.Draw back out of the situation and let God step in there with Faith Words and knock that idiotic devil out.As a teacher, since God’s been imparting revelation concerning the Emotions.Emotions can be destructive and shut faith down.I used to be the most Emotional person I knew( Soul, mind, will ,emotions) Emotions can be used by Revelation of God’s Word. There is a whole chpt.Psalms 31 about the revelation of grief and its not good.Fear , demonic spirit, we have power, love and a sound mind, I could go on and on.These spirits are real and they have personalities. Its wise to stay in Love, draw back.Intercede.Ive followed you a long time.I know your heart. Its a woman after God’s own heart.Be Blessed.

  19. Oh my goodness this devo came with power from on high. God is well pleased with you my sister for confessing your wrongs, When you realized that you harmed someone you rectified it and made it right. We go through a lot of issues in life that our baggage follows us, abandonment is real. My sister you have helped myself and so many others through this ministry and my prayer is that the sister you have harmed has forgiven you the bible says we should forgive our offenders. I love you for this my sister may God strengthen your relationships even the more.
    Thank you again
    In Jesus Name AMEN!!!

  20. Sister Kesha,
You just helped a whole lot of women. Thank you for your transparency. Peace and Blessings to you, always.

  21. Kesha my sister, we appreciate your transparency! We can all understand life’s trials. We all have things we are still working on. With God’s grace we’ll all get past it πŸ™πŸΌ πŸ™Œ

We love you, and pray God’s continued growth. ❀

    Debra

  22. God’s heart for us is to reconcile with each other and with Him.
It is a blessing for you to share your willingness to do that with your dear friend. May the Holy Spirit guide you both to a renewed friendship with forgiveness and love.

Thank you for being honest and true of where you are. We all have challenges and not perfect. We need to lean on God and others as God made us.

    Warm hugs, dear sister Kesha!

  23. Thank you for sharing Kesha! I have followed you for years and have been blessed by your authenticity. We are always growing, aren’t we?! Just when we think we have one fear conquered, we are tested with another one. I remember a Devo not long ago where you β€˜or one of your writers’ say God doesn’t just want us to β€˜feel’ healed, He wants us to be WHOLE. That has stuck with me and blessed me. He is doing the same for you and Marquita.

    Keep shining your light!
    Love and hugs❀️

  24. Thanks a lot Kesha for being an example of a woman of courage, thank you for your courage to be vulnerable
