“And now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in You.” Psalm 39:7
To someone that doesn’t know the Lord, hope is wishful thinking, a crossing of the fingers, a desire that has no promise of ever coming to pass, and is usually met with great fear and anxiety.
However, to a born-again believer who knows the Lord, hope is a confident expectation; a rest in the soul, a rejoicing in the heart no matter the situation, and a trust in God’s nature and character. This hope we have in the Lord is what makes the Gospel the good news.
Because Christ lives in us we have hope of not just spending eternity in heaven, but hope that God will be glorified no matter the situations we face. In Him, we are never alone and we are never without hope.
People in the world who do not know the LORD are hopeless. Let God use you right where you are to change someone from being hopeless to hopeful.
Prayer: Father, You are my hope. My trust is in You. I know You are at work in my life, even though I can’t always see it or feel it. Thank You for being with me always and for helping me keep my eyes stayed on You. I will not live in despair when You are my hope. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You are our only hope no matter what Father! Emotions are not the truth, they come and go. But God’s promises are yea and amen. He is the same yesterday today and forever which is the opposite of our emotions when we go through trials. To build a strong relationship with our Father takes time and a persistant determination. I always ask myself this question: How much do you want a deep relationship with your Father. Your attitude determines your altitude. Nothing worth fighting for or pressing in for, comes easily. We will be, and are tested on how sincere we are and for what reason. Are ourmotives pure or selfish, aimed at self or at knowing Him better, doing and asking things in His will.
Today, I stand on the promises of God. I’m looking forward to all God has for me. There is no need to fear in anything because He got me. I’m still holding to His unchanging hand through my daily trials, disappointments, setbacks,& obstacles. Hope gives me rest, peace, & motivation to prepare for my future with Him. Thank you God for giving me hope in You & without You, I will never be left meaningless. Thanks Crystal F. in Florida.
