If we are to be imitators of God, He always finishes what He starts. On the seventh day, God ended His work of creation and rested. Jesus finished His work on the cross and now we are redeemed and bought by His precious blood. Now, it’s up to us to finish the race set before us by God’s grace.
Don’t be hindered. Keep your eyes fixed on the Lord. Feel His arms wrapping around you now. Feel Him propelling you forward. Hear His comforting voice saying, “I’m with you. Keep your eyes on Me.”
In the past, you may have quit everything you started. But that changes right now, today. Declare that you are a finisher. You are made in God’s image and in His likeness. You possess His divine attributes and characteristics, and one of those attributes of our Father is that He is a finisher. So are you.
Speak this by faith today: “I am a finisher. I finish what God has instructed of me to do. Like Paul, “none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.” I fix my eyes on the Lord. I will not give up. I will not give out. I will not get weary in well doing, I will reap and will not faint! God is with me to help me finish! Thank you Lord!”
