As a child, my aunt had a living room with white carpet, a white leather sofa, and gold vases. She didn’t allow anyone in her living room. She would say, don’t you even look at it. Just keep walking. She didn’t want anyone in her beautiful white room for fear they would get it dirty and mess it up. Over the course of my life, this feeling of staying away from what is holy, pure and white when I felt most dirty, crept in. A fear of messing things up. But the Lord said to me, that may have been how your aunt felt, but not Me. I want you to come into My presence, and bring your pain, your bitterness, your anger, your resentment, your sin, and your shame. I am not afraid of My holiness becoming unholy, or My purity becoming impure because you are here. I am your Father and I change not. You cannot contaminate Me with what you deem as dirty, but rather, I change you. I forgive you, daughter. I wash you and make you clean so you can enjoy a lifetime of sitting in the most holy heavenly place in Me.

Amen! I had to chuckle when I read about your aunt’s living room. I have one of those rooms and we only use it for Christmas presents. My children would always refer to it as the museum room. We’re planning to move and I promise God that the white furniture will be used in the new home.

Wow. I have an aunt that is the same way. Lord, change me!! I want to heal!! I do not want to end up like people in my family or those that I have encountered that need healing but do not want to change. I realize that I attract people with the same dysfunctions that I am dealing with and I say no more!! The more and more I heal the more the enemy fights me. Lord, please help to shake the guilt and shame that I feel as I let go of people that no longer align with where God is taking me. It may get lonely but I know I am not alone. I pray that this gets easier. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen

Wow, what a relatable memory of growing up! This reminds me of the late 80s and early 90s, with neighbors/family living spaces too pretty to occupy. Lol….God is the Holiest of Holy and He invites us in everytime. Encouraged that we enter BOLDLY! God bless you Beloved! I need HIM to continue CHANGING ME, as I keep ENTERING into His Kingdom. Amen.
