I Loved You First, More, Most

When my twin boys were babies, and throughout all their years of life, my sister-in-love always told them this phrase: “I loved you first, more, most, and before you were even born. It’s always a race to see who can say it first. They would giggle and laugh as they all said it at the same time and then hug real big. Kathy greatly cared for them for us until they were almost two years old. Because of that, they have such a special bond. I dwelled on that this morning when I heard the Lord whisper, “I loved you first, more, most, and before you were even born.”

Scripture tells us in 1 John‬ ‭4‬:‭19‬, “We love him because he first loved us.” The thoughts God has about us have been nothing but love. He tells us, “For I know the thoughts I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope” (see Jeremiah 29:11). In fact, God has never had a single bad thought about you. It’s always been about God’s love for you. He loves you the most and proved it when He died on the cross for your sins. His love never changes, and He loves you just as much today as He did when you were conceived in your mother’s womb. As the Bible says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (see Hebrews 13:8).

No one can surpass the love that God has for you. He loved you first, more, most, and before you were even born!

  1. I’m in a lot of pain but will focus on the fact that He loved me first, more, most and before I was even born!
    Amen.

  2. My powerful God, it amazes me that You love me this much! You are so powerful and mighty, yet You still take the time to love me! I get now, all of us here on this earth and in this universe, are You! We are a conglomerate of You! That is how You love us all! You are truly magnificent!!! Thank You for love me first, more, most even before I was born! These things I pray in Jesus name, Amen! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

  4. Yes, Jesus loves me for the Bible tells me so. Thank you for this timely reminder. Blessings, Shalom and Agape 👀🙏🏽♥️📖🙌🏽

  5. Thanks for this reminder. Although we may have heard a word or scripture before, it brings new light when applying to a personal reality. I left my support group, my family, my rock a little over a year- telling God I needed to be stretched. I was too familiar with how to get what I wanted or needed. No, it’s not a bad thing- but I could tell my growth depending on God had. slowed down tremendously. Crazy thing I am not a young woman with savings stored away for hard times. Just the opposite- in my sixties, just lost my job and there is no savings- 401k well, only God!
Reason I give you such a back story is to let you know, being reminded that God loves us first, before we were even brought to this earth brings comfort during my first year of Obstacles- moving to a place where you know, no one. Than having your Adult child saying you left us. Reminded me, even if I was there I could not bless/provide more than what the Lord can, nor love them harder than what Lord does.

Thank you for this word of peace through my storm.

  6. When it feels like everyone else has fallen off, I have to remind myself that God is always there. He loved me first, more, and most!!

  7. Thankful that you loved me first…that you love me more and most…. Thankful that your love for me is unchanging…Not based on what I’ve done.. Your thoughts toward me are always good. Who could ask for a better love!!!!
